Hahaha yeah just taking the pizz, but it's an interesting one, would you give up one of our young mids for a player like that if he were on the market? he, Watts and Hogan or Weideman is a fair forward line.

Not for Reiwoldt. Maybe someone like Peter Wright, but even then it would be a tough call.

Very impressive man is Pav. By the way was referring to a reference for a job - wasn't doubting that he said what he did. Sorry for being obtuse.

Yes i'm pretty impressed with Pav too, and i was a doubter. What convinced me was the particular way he handled his own send off. With no tantrums and dedication to grass roots supporters. Says a lot about the man.

They're 21. Riewoldt is about to turn 28.

This, as well as the fact that premierships are won in the middle and Gus is a huge part of our midfield going forward.

Straight swap, Angus Brayshaw for Jack Rewoldt. lock it in.

Jesus, we'd get done for tanking about 20 minutes after the trade went through and Richmond would run away giggling

Just on Richmond it's getting more and more likely that Deludio will be shopped around. The same as Dustin Martin.

My man tells me that they're both likely to stay at the Tigers however. But also tells me anything can happen in trade week.

That's contradictory. I know that Martin will not be going anywhere, but the Tigers are doing as much as possible to offload Deledio and are willing to pay a fair portion of what remains of his contract. They'll need to.

What an insightful post.

Something might happen. But it probably won't. But it could.

Thanks.

Can't see how a trade could be orgestrated for Martin.

As for Deludio the Tigers list is in terrible shape so they'll be looking at picks and are in a position to pay a good portion of his salary.

What would their expectations be regarding Delidio? Would a mid 1st round pick get it done?

He spent most of the year injured.

I'm starting to think that Flamingdees has been around these parts before. Reminds me of someone.

So an elite key forward isn't worth one of our young mids? people are dismissing this only because it's Jack that i suggested, if it were someone like Peter Wright or Rory Lobb would that be a different story?

deledio is on a fortune and the tiges would love to move him out, but no one wants to pay what the tigers want for him.

and if the suns offered wright for brayshaw i personally couldn't sign the transfer papers soon enough. riewoldt plus tiges second round pick this year (~22) and i'd be pretty tempted.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
