Everyone's a bit cocky for my liking - feels like pre-Essendrug again.

I hope we have learned from that kind of dangerous mindset and put the clamps on early.

Chiillax Dude.

We just have to roll up and it will happen.

Forgive my paranoia, but that's exactly the attitude I worry about.

If the ball gets out our mids are too slow to get back and help defend and our backline is too short to out mark their three 197+cm tall forwards.

In recent times our midfield pressure has been good.  It is our forwards that need to defend exceptionally well today - something they have been poor at all year.  The ball needs to stay in our forward half.  Not wanting to put pressure on but we really need a big game from Hogan today with goalkicking and doing his share of defending.

Suns much more organised and switched on than last time - not at all confident.

The frustrating thing is we been starting well early in most of the games we have lost recently.

Exactly the same as QB game - Collingwood went three talks fwd and never looked in the game

That's true. So add to my previous statement a '4-quarter effort'.

All the well-worn cliches - just win the bloody game!

I think this is different - they went with 3 talls to rough up Maxy not as genuine forwards so their talls were just goal posts up forward!

Also that was a wet track - terrible day for talls anywhere on the ground.  Today's track and weather are quite different.

We underestimate Lynch, Day and 2meter Pete, at our peril!  They are all in form genuine forwards - not faux ruckman.

Gold Coast had Wright, Lynch and Day in their side the last time we played them.

They will put Day forward this week but didn't he play on Hogan last time? Hogan finished that game with 1.3 from 9 touches, in a game where we kicked 24.16.

We had no problem with Lynch and Wright the last time, the reason being the same tactic as today: we restricted their inside 50s (75 to us, 35 to them). Keep their opportunities down and our midfield and forward line should be good enough to win the game.

Laziness through the middle and from our half-forwards though...

What a great day. Soon the season will be over, so going to just enjoy watching the team play today......Dees by 29.

And ready

We are crap

This should be how we play all the time

Great tackle

We can't tackle

Selection mistakes again

See why they brought VDB back

He's gone

We can build a team around around him

FFS

and that's just 5 minutres into the first quarter

The only thing surer is you blindly leaping to the defence of anyone who is criticised.

Their forward line is the big issue for us ( literally). The Macs will have to be on song and our midfield will need to starve them of opportunities

The mind boggles to what kind of excuses will be brought up by apologists if we lose. There is just no way I could accept a loss today.

Probably the same excuses used week in week out because they dont just dissapear overnight... it takes preseasons... but anyway not sure why i am bothering

Anyway adc maybe you should just try enjoying the game since we are competitive now at least.

I reckon our mids should get thr job done today. If not we might be in trouble.

Given that the garden salad I had at lunch has more intensity than their midfield today should be a walk-over.

I think we wil win quite comfortably, I would love to see a 100 point demolition of the Suns.

We were competitive last week. I was impressed by our effort.  So no bloody excuses.

Off to the White Elephant bar in Koh Chang to catch the game, hoping for the best

Perfect day for football, finally we don't have to play in wet conditions.

I think the ground will still be quite wet, it was bucketing down overnight. Shouldn't rain though so that will be good.

Shocking crowd. 13k so far.

There are no excuses if we play like against Essendon and St Kilda we lose   play like last week and kick straighter we win   nobody apologises just understands why we lose

Oh god.

Suns by 6 goals.

Feeling nervous as we have performed poorly when we have been red hot favourites.
