When Clayton Oliver works out how to get a few cheap kicks....

He's been more than good again today, does so much work in close.

I just re-read it and it looked like I could have been talking about Garland. But yes I did mean the ump.

Go Scorps.

Oliver and Kennedy should be back next week. When you think that an unconditioned Oliver was averaging 15 touches at this level last year and is now getting 35+, the sky really is the limit for him. He tackles to hurt too. Kennedy is far too good for VFL and (contrary to others' opinions) I think he has proven himself to be a useful AFL player.

Weideman is skinny, raw and a touch on the slow side, but was impressive. I wish Hogan adopted his set shot approach, so fluent!

Thanks KC, love your work.

Clarry has to come back in now. He's way too good for VFL and his development needs AFL matches now.

Grimes is making it hard for the selectors to ignore him.  Would love to know his disposal average over the last 6 Casey games.

Trenners is also putting his case forward.

Agree Dante.

If Grimes  cannot get a game 39 disposals then why should Kennedy?

I think there has to be one eye kept on the future. For mine Grimes represents our recent history and will be walked at the end of the season, he's not the future. At the same time I don't think Kennedy should get a game either. He has the tricks and will be a player for us, but the one thing lacking with him is consistency. He needs to string them together at Casey before he gets another crack.

Not a big Terlich fan, but he gee he has really done well as a forward, hasn't he.

New contract next year, yeah, nah.

Kennedy is your classic too good for VFL not good enough for AFL.

And to top it off he is too short.

You guys are so biased towards Grimes. The bloke has had 100 games to prove his worth, and honestly he hasn't shown what it takes to be valuable to the team in the modern game.

Kennedy has 70 odd less games and 4 years on him.

Too short?  Please.  That's a weak argument.

He is younger than Grimes and has plenty of scope for improvement in him.  We know what we're going to get with Grimes.  Big difference.

Sorry for having an opinion.  I always thought that the whole concept was, show the form, get a game, I like Kennedy but you can't say he is consistent, that said i'd play him next week on his VFL form, he seems to play well in his first game back.

Height isn't the issue.

It is if you are not very good.

If you are short you need to be very good at AFL to make it.

He is not very good.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
