Demonland 74,467 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 After last night's game surely Jayden Hunt deserves a Rising Star Nomination. Great stats last night. His metres gained stat is impressive considering he's played only 12 games.
bandicoot 1,395 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Good call... Has really added something special to the side. His run and carry was something that we desperately needed
Bring-Back-Powell 15,562 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 He does, but Mills from Sydney is yet to receive one either.
DeeZone 10,596 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Couldn't agree more, he reads the ball so well and cuts off a lot of oppo attacks. Coughs it up a bit but is getting better each week, he can take a knock as well!! Go Jayden!! Go Dee's

sydneydee 703 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Hunt will be a star. Given he is a little older I am predicting that he doesn't drop off in the later stages of the season. If he continues his increased output then he may poll higher than expected in the rising star. Should have got a nomination last week and I am hoping he gets it this week. His meters gained last night was terrific.
low flying Robbo 979 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 He is so relentless at the ball. His kicking still lacks a bit every now and then but I just love him as a player. Like the kick out that he stuffed (when OMac was injured), he went full tilt at the player with the ball and got in then won the free.
Lil_red_fire_engine 11,387 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Mills has it in the bag this week. Hunts round will come though.
Pennant St Dee 13,460 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 He's been good but Mills has been consistent since Round 1. Don't rule out the AFL PR Machine awarding it to Aliir Aliir in multicultural round
Gorgoroth 13,220 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Yeah Mills will get it. He was great on Friday night.
jane02 3,796 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Jayden is fast becoming one of my new favourite players. He is so exciting, fast and keeps trying.
Guest Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 He is an extra ingredient that we have needed coming off half back. Someone who can break the lines and penetrate into the center square to set up forward 50 attacks. We now need some of the outside running that Toump was supposed to have given us. The kind of bloke who insures that teams can't just put numbers around the ball and suffocate us. Add that element then watch out.
At Least I Saw a Flag 5,354 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Hunt is great. He provides the run that the Prince tried to (unsuccessfully).
Deemotivated 550 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Mills was good as was Hunt. I'd say Mills gets this weeks RS nom I'd say.

AFL Head Office should make its PR machine find a way to explain how Jayden Hunt has a solid multicultural background. That's a challenge worth paying them for.
Glenn Molloy 494 Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Hopefully Hunt continues this form, in which case he'll get a nomination soon enough - but it has to be Mills this week, he was great and has been all year.

71 Molloy 266 Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Will be interesting to see how much difference a genuine line breaking back flanker makes to us at Docklands this Sunday.
Guest Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Will be as important to us in his position as Jesse Hogan. Just needs to learn to slip back from 5th the 3rd before he kicks...and he will.

It's what makes the award a joke.

ManDee 7,395 Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Round 9 last year Jesse Hogan, no it's not too late. 2014 round 9 Lewis Taylor. 2013 Jaegar O'Meara round 5. 2012 round 12 Daniel Talia
