We need to get real about the backline. Oscar may be the future (I'm not sold)  but I'm big on the present. He can learn in Casey.

Jones, vince, viney, gawn all having very average days. Hogan and Petracca our best by far, Stretch close behind. Martin has done a great job of silencing Gawn but also can't get involved himself.

Very uninspiring game.

Martin has basically played the whole game forward, its West thats getting the better of him.

    The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team.
