Dawes ? Couldnt be any worse than Pedo was yesterday. I dont think 5 changes will happen either unfortunately. Garland is finished, i didnt like the 3 year contract at the end of last season and i like it even less now, Poorest decision the list management team has made for a while.

Out Hogan ...... Needs to able to kick a min of 2-3 goals a game at the G. Let him go and get some confidence back at Casey monstering VFL defenders. That's where he got his hunger from before he started so well last year. He thinks he is an automatic selection each week. Thinks he has the club over a barrel with all the media hype over his contract . Apart from the saints game I have not seen anything this year that shows me he is worth the money that is reported he can earn. His kicking lacks penetration and before all the Jessie lovers get stuck into me, just answer this question , who  would you rather have kicking for goal in a final from 48m out on an angle to win the game for us at the G. Watts or Hogan?

This proves nothing.  Yes, watts, but he is the best kick in the team.

Kernahan was a great FF/CHF but I would have preferred others to be having that shot.  Cloke, Richo, Neitz same.  It does not mean he aint a good footballer. But he needs to get a routine and continue with it and not change each shot.

Neal-Bullen on stand by for Vince

Lumumba on stand by for Jetta

Dunn on stand by for Pedersen

If none of the above three outs gets suspended i'd still be looking for Lumumba & Neal-Bullen to come in anyway. Probably at the expense of Hunt & Michie.

Would also like to see a fit Kent in, but hard to drop Stretch after that performance. Maybe for Harmes?

Sorry guys but both Jetts and BV are not going to be available this weekend, 100%.

I think BV will only be a week, as it was moderate contact but Jetta will get 2 i reckon.

Whatever the selection choices, I don't want to hear the word 'hindsight' in a post-game presser again :/

This won't be popular but Grimes must be in the mix. Has done nothing wrong at Casey and was on standby for the firsts this week. ANB is a no- brainer. I think Funk and Wagner and due for a tune up at Casey,

Garlands 3 year contract was the work of the current administration, we can only hope he came cheap.

Im guessing he did.

Surely not.

Why not? Has been good at Casey, was designated emergency yesterday too wasn't he?

Aren't we passed the stage of caring what name is attached to in-form players?

Strong teams would use a game like Brisbane at the G to ease a bloke like Trengove back into AFL.

Is Hulett ready to replace Pedersen? Or Dawes' form good enough?

The players are struggling to react in that pseudo-press we are doing and the Bulldogs exploited it - so IN the players that know what they are doing in there, and OUT the rest.

I'm with you but for a different reason. Dropped mark in forward pocket (not a sin itself; everybody drops them occasionally) but then stood there flatfooted sulking, no pressure or effort while the doggies ran it out again. Needs to go back, get confidence and get some defense and repeat effort into his game.

5 changes? Never had happened under Roos. Can't see it starting this week

I love his passion but his frustration kills it, doesn't get back into position after a point is kicked either.  I would not drop him yet, I hope the coaching staff know how to tame the beast, maybe music i have heard that works ;)

The annoying thing about our selectors at the moment is they think we can play this small back line every week. It worked against the Suns because after half time the ball hardly went down there. We knew the Dogs were are far superior side to the Suns and yet we play the same back line who struggled with the pressure. I don't know what Dunn has done to get off side but is a far superior defender than Garland. We also have been playing Frost as a forward when it was fairly obvious he is just not going to do well in that position. My team for this week would be as follows (this is if no one gets suspended which is unlikely for Bernie).

B:       Jetta           Dunn           Lumumba

HB:     Salem        TMac           Wagner

C:       Vince         Tyson          Stretch

HF:     Petracca    Pedersen    Kennedy

F:       Garlett        Hogan         Watts

R:       Gawn         Jones           Viney

Int:      Oliver         ANB      Bugg    Harmes

Outs: Michie (I like him but we can't play Salem, Wagner, Hunt and Michie in the same team as they all play similar roles and is behind those three IMO)

Garland (doesn't defend well enough and has no weapons)

Hunt (loved his first few games but needs a rest and Lumumba can come back in if fit)

Ins: Lumumba to give Hunt a week off

Dunn to come in for Garland

ANB because he is just banging the door down

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
