She is not printing any story.  It was just her opinion of FC.

Print/Say whatever.

If it's Caro saying that, I'm slightly concerned.

I hope she is simply making a story for the sake of it, because Jesse will will a star of the comp, and I want to see that in a Dees guernsey, not a frockers one.

Hogan has the tools to be a superstar. Anyone who denies that has zero footy i.q

We just need to sort his head out.

I thought Lamumba put out a book about Mindfulness Meditation being cool, Why isn't he teaching Jesse the Dalai Lama mental training tricks. Was it all posturing!

Caroline Wilson on Footy Classified tonight said she is starting to think Hogan is more likely to go than stay now and that the club is getting a bit frustrated. Might be an interesting off season.

That's not what she said at all.

She said Melbourne gets frustrated as he seems to waver after he's visited home, but when asked whether she thinks he'll stay or go she replies "I actually couldn't call it to be honest, I couldn't call it".

It is incredible to me that people cannot accurately pass on what they hear.

And it happens continually.

Who wants a very highly paid forward who cannot kick goals?

Posted (edited)

I heard it as Pro Dee did. It does seem he is still undecided and hasn't yet committed to stay.

Caro has good sources and double checks her stuff so it wouldn't surprise she is correct. I think she added something like 'one minute he tells the club he will the next minute says he won't'.

No wonder the club is getting frustrated.  Would imagine it wants it sorted soon so it knows well before trade week, to assess the list accordingly and plan recruits for this year and next.

On the positive side, the club has done all that it promised and he can see a clear direction for the club.  Its entirely up to him now.

Thankfully, EOS is upon us and he can get away for some clear air and head space.

It's a load of rubbish, Jesse gets every word in he said heavily analysed by every media outlet, why would he say things like that to a random MFC official who was going to pass it on to someone like Caro.

I don't believe Jesse would have had these conversations with anyone outside his family, Roosy, Goody PJ ect who aren't gunna talk to Caro and his manager.

I reckon it's pretty disrespectful to suggest that Jesse is making his intentions public knowledge within the club so consistently and that someone is relaying this information to someone like caro, we barely leak info on anything (unless we want to )

for the record i believe very strongly jesse will stay, all the actions of the Perth clubs reflect that, the team is heading in the right directions and Jesse is saying all the right things!

No worries.  You're not the first to misread the tone of a conversation.  Easy to do.

Hey, Abe - I also strongly believe he will stay.  But our strong belief doesn't exclude that he is waivering and that the club is getting frustrated with that.  I also do not think he, his family, the club are talking.

Your first 3 para's are all fair comment but posters haven't made nor implied any dispersion of Jesse.  The only variation to those is that discussions do involve his manager, in fact he would be front and centre in all the contract negotiations with the club on Jesse's behalf.

Who knows where Caro gets her info but she does have impeccable sources.  She has not said he is going she has simply reported that he is waiverying.  There are a lot of people/organisations involved in the contracting process where this info could come from.

The reality of footy now is that until he signs the talk will continue...and this thread will continue to grow:huh:

His body language, attitude and the disappearance of the ferocious intensity from his game suggests to me something is amiss. Maybe he is wavering? Perhaps he had done a deal with Freo and is regretting it or something else. I just hope the club offer what he is worth and not throw everything at him in desperation. Nothing could be worse for the club than  being stuck with an overpaid Prima Donna.

Freo are not in great shape and are after McCarthy and Hill and possibly other players. WC is probably not an option.

He has a Melbourne girlfriend, in addition to loving Melbourne and having lots of mates at the club. He apparently also loves life over here.

We are improving and could have a sustained period of success.

Could all of this uncertainty be to ensure a higher contract price?

I appreciate what you're trying to say but there is no way Caro has got this info from anyone at Melbourne as she suggested,

these conversations if they happened at all would be between Jesse and his management, he wouldn't be talking to the club about them.

i am 99.9% certain Jesse's manager wouldn't be leaking that info to Caro if it were true, i reckon like a lot of other things in the past 18 months, she's made this up.

I just think he's a professional young footballer with high expectations of himself and he like the rest of the footy world realizes he's underperforming and he's becoming frustrated?

i reckon it's pretty understandable.

Can anyone tell me why he walked to the half back flank at the start of the Carlton game ?? For the life of me , i couldn't work that out.

Started the third quarter coming off the back of the square too. He bolted in from the bounce and impacted the contest straight away. Maybe just getting himself into the game

Are you some of you kidding yourselves!!!! He is our best key forward and will be our best player within 2 years. He will be a top 5 goal kicker in the comp for the next 10 years and is they key to our future success.

Supporters or trolls who think we would be better off without him, have no idea.  Key forwards who have done what he has done in his first 2 years are once in a lifetime players and sadly players we have not seen much of at the Dees in the last 10 years.    He has some things to work on but what 2nd year player doesn't?

His signature is essential.

I think he looks so comfortable taking marks and kicking outside 50 that it might be an idea to play CHB for 5-10 games. Swapping with TMac could work for both of them for a while. He looks stressed inside 50.
