Each to their own then Mad. Have you ever tried it?

I think it's fun and hilarious, and still treasure and enjoy the official singing when the siren sounds.

Nothing better than waving goodbye to smashed opposition in the 3rd Quarter

"Bye & Thanks so much for coming...."

really pizzes them off....

Anyone up for suggesting potential banners?

A banner of Sam Mitchell's syringe imitation would do nicely, he he!  But security would promptly confiscate it so protest banners won't really work.

Re some sort of protest.  At first I thought lets just play the game and thrash them.  But then I read here about the minute silence.  That is a bridge too far for me.

If they have the minute silence, Demon supporters can booooooooo our heads off.  A minute's silence is a long standing tribute of respect to the fallen and to the deceased.  It has no place whatsoever in that game for that club.  I am appalled that they would do that let alone it be silently condoned by the rest of the AFL world.

Neither the AFL or journo's are taking a stand.  So let us be the ones.  Let's boo the minute silence!!  Boo loudly.  Nothing security can do to stop 30,000 fans (or for Stuie's benefit 10,000 fans) booing.  I will boo not because they cheated but because they have the temerity to drag a universal sign of respect into their sordid saga.

We can make some serious noise booing for a minute!!!

Edit:  I just read TPF39's post about their clapping...well we can boo that too!

Its a minutes applause not a minutes silence.

Although given that is usually reserved for someone who has passed away its kinds the same thing.

Oops!  My bad.  I'll go back and fix my post.   can get wound up quickly by EFC antics!

And I didn't read your post correctly where you first suggested the booing.  An excellent idea which I would fully endorse.

Booing...we'd be drowned out, so if you can't beat them - join them.

During that minute clap, whoop and holler your lungs out.

But be dressed up as a legal silk whilst doing so!

I'm embarrassed for them. By all means have something that "supports" the club, but what they have planned is disrespectful, condescending, and shockingly elist. They are treating the league, its fans and the rules with utter contempt.

I will stay seated and quiet when they do their stand and golf clap gimmick. Wouldn't be surprised if some Bombers fans do the same.

Who else remembers back when they pumped us in round 2, a few years back under Neeld. Obviously we were a rabble, but as our players walked down the race, it was predominantly Essendon supporters who were hanging over the fence hurling abuse at them. Always stuck with me, and was just another reason on a long list of many of why I hate them more than any other club.

This is just as cringeworthy as the post last season suggesting we sing 'Never Walk Alone' before our matches. No Thanks

Agree we with many that the best way to protest is to smash them. Get loud and support our boys, give them a lift for an "away" game.

Essendon will be gifted the #1 pick in the draft and a wooden spoon, then all of this will be forgotten like incidents in the past (ie Justin Charles).

Hope the dees Pump them by 10 goals!!

I know this is a public forum but this thread brings nothing but disrepute to the board, it is like reading a high school board, grow up, cheer you own team and hope for a resounding win

So holding a minutes applause, usually reserved for honouring those who have passed away, in tribute not only to those who are still alive but to those who are convicted drug cheats is fine with you?

No, but it says more about the Essendon support than us, if we joined in in any way we would look the same, this is only footy, all this "convicted drug cheats", if you are naive enough to think in this day and age that any professional sport is clean with the amount of money involved, then so be it, I'm not.

But I am one who thinks after all the publicity sacrificial lambs were required and they couldn't get near Dank or the Weapon or even Hird so they made it the players.

As far as I am concerned, we would have players at our club, who if told by coaches to do something, would do it without question

We also have administrators at our club in PJ and Paul Roos who have a zero tolerance attitude on drugs, so it will never happen at the MFC, as far as i am concerned whether the bombers players were " Sacrificial lambs"  or not is irrelevant, every profession athlete is 100% responsible for what goes into their bodies 100% of the time, so the Essendon players are 100% responsible for what's happened to them.

Having said that i personally won't be going out of my way to be involved in any protests beyond simply not going to the game, as great as it would be to see us belt the top up express, i will not give them any of my hard earned after what that club has pulled.

That is part of my point as well, because Hird (the Messiah) was involved, the administrators let him do what he liked, the players are the least to blame in this whole fiasco

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
