Rob Jackson occasionally puts up videos on Instagram of the boys training and there was a really great one today of Petracca

for those who have Instagram there is some good videos of the boys training also, especially great to see some vision of the boys for us non-Melbourne supporters who only get to read the great reports on Demonland.

I bloody love the fact that Trengove is able to kick footys around.

Kudos to all who are able to give us these updates, much appreciated from regional Queensland.

Mate, kudos to you also. It's been bloody tough being a Dees supporter when you live in Melbourne, let alone regional Qld.

This seems a ridiculous weight and pressure on knees and back. We are developing a footballer not a weightlifter or weight room junkie. What are they doing?

Nah, its a good move. Its taken 5-6 years for blokes like Trengove to knuckle down in the weights room.

In the past we've had too many blokes who clearly didn't hit the gym. Petracca is just doing what is required, whereas in the past we've had blokes who just coasted.

If players coast in this team - they are going to look out of place, that is exactly the way it should be. Petracca is doing exactly what N.Jones would be doing, they want to go places, these are players we need. If Petracca looks as if he is trying to break his knee, then he'll be confident in his knee come game time. Its practical, this kid clearly models himself off of American sports.

Time will tell Ding I hope you are right, but there are a lot of dodgy blokes in gyms giving poor instruction and in some cases damaging bodies and careers. I have seen so many footballers muscle up with poor weight programs with detrimental results to their speed, agility and game.

Completely disagree. Trengove came to the club will an already mature solid body. Infact if anythinghe probably bulked up way too much and had to lose some muscle to get some run and speed in his legs. Bit like Petracca last year was mentioned by Paul Roos he had to lose some weight aswell which he has done.

I completely disagree with you.

I constantly wondered why Trengove wasn't putting on muscle.  His upper body was especially poor.

Having done weights for many years it was obvious.

Well, you need worry no more if those photos of him are accurate and not a trick of the light.  He is looking exceptionally well contoured/sculpted in the upper body... just hope his legs can catch up.

I doubt it's a trick of the light...I'd say that he's been doing almost exclusively upper body work for the past two years.

It's also good to note that his leg doesn't look too skinny despite him having been off it for so long.

Does this mean the auto-censor isn't working? Or has it just changed it's rating from R to PG during the upgrade?

I posted a relatively minor swear yesterday that I assumed would be censored and it seems to have slipped though.

I was thinking of asking a similar question to you regarding the auto-censor but I couldn't be arsed.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
