Yes, it does, hence why he was not best 22 in that match. I found his form dwindled in the second half of the year, I'm sure if we had a suitable replacement he would have been dropped more often.

1 game. 1. Played 20 others. Pretty clearly that makes him best 22 for 2015.

And you could make the same "replacement" argument about any player. Gawn wouldn't be best 22 if we had Goldstein. We have who we have, that's the point.

Killer needs a Rocky-esque training montage where he builds some bulk, attitude and hunger!

Bring it on Jack, prove those nasty nay-sayers WRONG!

Please...

Lol! You can't include a disclaimer for your 'not best 22' statement by searching for something that simply did not exist this season. If we had Fyffe any of our midfield could have been dropped in that case.

and if your Aunty had balls she'd be your uncle.

I am not going to argue this, there is no point. I see it my way you see it yours. I don't want to force my opinion on you in a lame attempt to make you "See it my way".

I tell you what...

I'll change my avatar to Binman's choice for 6 months from the day he plays his 11th game (won't happen) and you can dictate my signature for the corresponding period.

Accepted.

Going by the 2nd half of the year, no his is not best 22, and the last round proved that.

Next year is a new year, players will be judged on their commitment to pre-season training and NAB games, not on the performance from the previous year.

Is it a confidence issue with JW? Is that the only thing holding him back?

He still looks way too similar to that boy on QB.

Loved how he tried to take the game on more this year, he is so quick off the mark.

Just wish it would click for him and we see his U18 form translate to the seniors, I really do.

I think we will have our answer as early as round 1.

Watts isnt about to change. Everyone can forget it He is not a competitor, and he just wont use his supposed blistering pace to burn someone off, and take the game on.

Whenever he has opposition company, he off loads as soon as he can, to avoid contact. Not good enough, and its ingrained.

If he is fit, and doesnt play rd1, ProDee can sit back and relax, and enjoy his safe bet.

Agree with Stu, Watts was viewed as best 22 in '15.

After all we have been hearing from the coaches, almost incessantly now, about players needing to bring their competitive side to every game, I think Jacks days are numbered.

he's a gatherer, not a hunter, sadly

lets hope he can get hungry, starving, in need of something, desperately.

We will be hoping until the day he is delisted, but that is all we have.

He will have an amazing year playing high half forward wing, 2016 will be his best by far, there were some really good signs in 2015 let himself down in the last 4 to 5 games.

thats watt we begin with, & thats watt we exit with. thats all there is?

..... but in the mean time he has the options in front, presently.

so that deesire, that despairation is required for him to, as a footballer be a success, or fail.

the club/fans have moved on from him. Too many years, and too many other young hopefuls in. He is no longer a focus anymore. This will either work for/against Jack.

no excuses now.

It will work against him.

Do you think with a heap more talent around him, that his third rate attack on the contest will go unnoticed by the coaching staff?

There are no trees on the MCG.......He has been seen for what he is, and its game over.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
