Least accurate side in the competition

As with most facts from "Lethal", some substance but not entirely true. According to the official stats, we are bottom 4 but Essendon and GWS are slightly worse. As a comparison, Port, Dawks and North are the most accurate. Total goal accuracy difference between best & worst is around 6.5%. (Port 54.2%, Ess 45.4%).

We still have to straighten up though.

Are these stats online?

Lethal might just be going off goals v behinds not goals vs goals missed. Still aside from the Geelong match we have mostly been pretty poor in front of goal this year. Dawes and Garlett (off the top of my head) would probably be the worst offenders in the forward line.

Again ..stats in isolation and associated relevant contexts mean nothing.

An irony of sorts is that the actual context is only really given at the end.

From here as much reverse interpretation can be made as are are points of the compass.

Best stats are arent stats..they're eyes. Just watching gives a far better idea of how a game is unfolding...or unravelling.

So much about stats is i feel incomplete . Just looking at the scoreboard....or indeed the Worm gives me a far better over view of whats happening.

Each to their own i suspect.

Dear Lethal,

The Melbourne footy club, is case you haven't noticed, has gone through a vwery lean time in the last year or two.

It just seems more like decade really. On the odd occassion during a few games we kind of struggled to even get the ball into our inside 50 in the past.

Our inside 50 is now on the up, but for whatever reason you have decided to point out our shots on goals is the worst in the league. Can we pause for a moment, and pray for one miracle at a time. I can concede our ball skills are way below standard.

Our inside 50 wratio to scoring I believe to be wight up their with the top teams. So be thankful we are now getting our hands on the footy and one could say we are more competitive than in recent times.

Us MFC supporters don't have a lot to hang our hats on, so could we stop with all the negative vibes.Perhaps if you want to be more helpful to our cause, you might want to devote a bit more research on why and where we are missing shots on goal. Taking too many pot shots from the boundary?, perhaps too far out?, even trying kicking them with a gale force cross wind?.

Perhaps we put ourselves under pressure, and that split second required to steady beforehand might benefit us.

In closing thank god we manage to kick a few out of our bums at times, or we weally weally would be in dire straits.

From where we have been, I am just thankful our scoring on goal is on the up.

Thanks vwery, vwery much for your time to point out we are crapola once more.

We've got players who can't hit a target 15 metres away by foot, but we'd be number one for best public speakers. What price do we put on that?

Would be great if Dawesy could "talk' the ball into his palms.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
