Call me crazy but i reckon we'll win this week. We have been competitive against the bullies in the last couple of years and our defensive systems should hold up and help negate their run. They won't smash us in the centre like the Roos, they don't have a player like Brown who stretches our defense for a match up and if we bring our top shelf intensity we can beat them in the stoppages. And we have Hogan who scarily for opposition teams is yet to have his break out game.

Call it the vibe but the dees by 23 for my money.

Like the vibe binman. Hogan and Dawes in form. If Maxy gives our midfield first use we may just cause an upset. Shame vandenBerg is missing.

You're crazy. Hogan has had plenty of break out games, he hasn't kicked 8 yet due to lack of service and that will continue. Either Dunn or McDonald should stop Redpath but Stringer, Crameri and Dickson are a super trio.

We were too strong from them at the G but the indoor Etihad conditions will see them run all over us as they have many better sides than us. Our forward line sucks at ball retention, our backline just doesn't get the ball out with speed or skill and our inside mids might be accountable but Shaun Higgins was the latest in a long line of outside types to run all over us.

If we can find this bloke and see whether he can leave the roof open we might be some chance

B Howe, Dunn, Jetta
HB Lumumba, Garland, Grimes
C Watts, Vince, Salem
HF M Jones, Hogan, Harmes
F T McDonald, Dawes, Garlett
Fol Gawn, Viney, N Jones
Int Tyson, Cross, Neal-Bullen, Brayshaw (sub)

In: Salem
Out: Michie

• I wouldn’t make significant changes. While I would like to give Michie one more chance, I couldn’t find anyone else to drop for Salem.
• Brayshaw could do with a rest but I would rather start him as the sub.
• I would think about trying McDonald forward again, although he might be required to play on Redpath.
• M Jones to take Murphy.

I hope so, but....

They're as ferocious as Port were this time last year.

Interesting that we matched up well on Port last year as well.

Bulldogs are playing a good brand of football to watch but I'm still not totally convinced. They've had a very soft draw and I don't think they've played a top 8 team since about round 7.

Minimal changes, Salem is an obvious in. Michie out.

I don't think you're the slightest bit crazy. We beat them by a comfortable 39 points 11 weeks ago - and although we had Vandenburg in then, we didn't have Tyson, Dawes, Jetta, Gawn, Viney or Salem. Last week we played a dominant half against a good side and we had the flu. Dees by 20.

Sunday bloody Sunday. When did we last seriously challenge with an extra day against not Brisbane? WB. That's who. Excellence.

Pig Dog's form recently could warrant a recall, but for him that form doesn't translate when he plays seniors. JKH also played well, but needs more consistency at that level before we even think about bringing him in. Has been sorely disappointing this year when fit.

Salem to come in for Michie is my bet.

Two changes

Out: Grimes ( forever) Michie

Inns: Pig Dog and either Salem, Newton or JKH

you ignore my 3 excellent points in order to be negative and talk about a superstition

whatever

Actually, I wasn't replying to your post....

Anyhoo, I just don't think we're at the Bullies' level of performance at this stage.

Stop sooking.

i just get annoyed sometimes with idiotic posts

like ignoring real facts in favour of an apparently cursed venue (it's haunted ooooooh)

obviously you had nothing genuine to say about those facts so you just pretended they weren't there huh

par for the course round here

like I said, 'whatever'

With those stats, I'd expect we'd win by quite a bit more than 42 points.

There are facts for both sides. I think we're definitely a chance, but it's a 'fact' that we haven't won at Etihad for a long, long time. Forget about the hoodoo.

so I suppose you have some tangible explanation as to why we lose there so often apart from pure coincidence

im gonna chime in with my 2 cents worth, I'm usually on the negative side & I'm either all or nothing but i think we are one of the hardest teams for the Footscray game style to play, our win last time was our softest for the season & l'll be backing it up with cold hard $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The tangible explanation is that we lost everywhere & to everyone, it's not just Docklands...

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
