Jack's back (Trengove, that is)

Recommended Posts

Well done Jacky boy. Always been a big fan and wish you nothing but the best in the road to recovery.

Hopefully he can dismiss the last couple years and return to the form he showed in his second year when he was really starting to look the goods.

That said......

The Lever kid looks good as well

If trenners makes it back geez hes a handy inclusion.

Very classy player who is now 7th-8th in line for our midfield thanks to our depth

I really see him as the natural replacement for Daniel Cross, but with better skills. I'd give Crossy one or two more years and then Trenners will take his place (hopefully).

Fine to be running and all, but unless he can recapture most of his lost speed, he wont remain on the list for long I wouldnt think.

Good luck Trenners, and well done Maxy and Jack. Great team building stuff.

Of course, but I think that most posters here today just want to enjoy the positives.

Have to be completely honest.

I will only consider it a positive when he is back out on the park, getting a kick. Until then, I will be waiting and expecting the worst.

Did you enjoy last weekend's footy?

Come on, really?

We beat Colonwood. Yes, happy.

Duh

Doesnt change my view about Trengove. His last 20 or 30 games pre ops, were downright ordinary, and at times embarrassing.

I hope the op has fixed the injury, and he can find leg speed. Lots of it, because he was slower than Brock McLean.

I dont think too many on here would disagree with that. Just because he is running, doesnt mean he is "back". Just means we are a step closer to seeing if his foot will hold up. Nothing to get too excited about, I wouldnt think.

No you don't. You don't have to say anything.

Why people feel the need to share their concerns on a thread dedicated to such a joyous moment for the bloke is beyond me.

Is it really the time for this? Really?

After Jack ran through the banner and training resumed to normal, another nice thing happened. The demon army members who were there gave him a clap as he ran past them which made him smile from ear to ear.

How much running did he actually get him?

He did some laps at half pace for a while then he was doing something else with Jayden Hunt but was on the far side of the oval from where I was so I couldn't really tell what was going on.

A little while being, 10, 20, 30 mins? Just interested in the progression.

Most would be very happy that he can run at all, though recognizing that he has a lot of work ahead of him.

Few will see it as nothing positive at all.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
