Gold Coast Drug Culture

Dude, read my original post again slowly or ask someone to explain it to you.

Humour is unrecognisable to the witless.

Apologies mate. Went off without taking in the meaning. My mistake.

I don't give a fark what players do in their private lives as long as they don't cheat with PEDS, gamble on their game, beat up on their partners or molest kids. Nannyism is getting out of control.

Annnnnnd already one of the Victorian "party boys" is starting to pop up in the news.... It's not just Gold Coast folks.

Well it must be common knowledge by now just how the two Pies players ended up getting clenbuterol in their system.

What do you expect from them when their senior players like Swan have Saturday night escapades basically laughed off by the boys club?

You cant blame them for doing drugs or trying drugs its a part of growing up...When I played sports at state level my whole team got on the drugs together it made us a better team because we had fun aswell as playing well..

He is exactly the type of player our midfield lacks, but is he worth the risk? I know many clubs will be asking that, but he really is the missing element from our midfield. His leg speed alone would propel our midfield from C grade to B+ grade.

Amazes me how anyone in that position allows a pic to be taken of him. What purpose could it possibly serve, other than to drop him in the schit?

I'd love him but it's a matter of doing the due diligence and not paying anything for him, just like Jeffy Garlett. Risk/reward. At least the form of Toumpas, Watts and Stretch the last month has given us some hope for outside runners, but none are the level of Bennell. His game against Geelong last year was something to behold.

I said it earlier on in the year steer clear of Bennell and was slated his habits and attitude are common knowledge to many and I also stand by what I said previously he is not worth the risk, he may stay on the straight and narrow for a few months maybe a season but he will get comfortable with where he is at and believe he is above everyone and that he can do both, play AFL and keep is bad habits in check

Don't know how 3 footballers who go in into a small room before a game and say a quick prayer is such a big issue.

fair enough, but when they say the hail mary's after, as they wipe the blood from their nostrils, says it all.

I wouldn't be targetting the troubled kids if my life depended on it. Go after the straight arrow players who are undoubtedly fed up with their club's shithouse culture.

Prestia would have to be at the top of the list right now. Is he contracted for next year ala O'Meara?

His trade value just got a hell of a lot cheaper. And in the week after he had his most possessions for a game. Come on down Harley.

he's like a regular EverReady man.

hang in there, part 2 follows, in red n blue

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was
