With BT fawning over 'The Total Package' Lex Luger and Darcy loving every minute of his old side playing tonight it's not surprising the Lions aren't getting a mention.

Stringer is the best player we have seen according to channel 7 since ummh ohnyes Thursday night and Cyril's few cameos. Supetlative overload at 7. Gee I hope they interview the package post game!

Literally the only defence is that they had the most boring game of the year on their hands and had to do everything in their power to make it interesting.

They only succeeded at turning viewers off though.

I'd hate to be the one who cleans up in their box after the game... the mess left after that wankoff fest would be enormous.

The Dogs kicked as many goals in a quarter as we've kicked in our past 2 games against Geelong.

Against Brisbane... let's keep it in perspective.

We'll struggle tomorrow, no doubt. Hopefully not as badly as we've struggled in recent history.

Actually don't mind watching the Bulldogs play

Good young side, exciting gameplan, and they didn't beat us this year

Who we struggled against last year. It'll be interesting to see how we fair against them at the G, they tend to pick up in form in the latter stages of seasons.

Our midfield is much improved over the last time we went down to the cattery, the Cats have lost Duncan, Bartel and Kelly to injury, so it'll be interesting to see what we can do. Even if we do continually get it forward tomorrow we'll probably be bombing it to no one. Have to get goals out of Vince, Jones and Watts

It'll definitely be time for the razors if we lose to Brisbane this year. They are absolutely rancid.

On current form, we'll struggle to even beat Carlton. They've basically been told "just take the risks and wear the mistakes", and funnily enough it seems to be paying off.

We flogged them by 39 points, but apparently it doesn't count cos it was us that did it.

It's funny the fawning going on over Boyd/Stringer. One's shown nothing and the other has proven himself countless times, yet 7 are painting them as some kind of unstoppable forward line duo. Bizarre.

Meanwhile, Hogan kicked 5 last week and it barely got a mention by any of the media. The Bulldogs fans on BF are fornicating themselves by calling Stringer vastly superior to Hogan. Gee whiz, he's only got 30 more games under his belt.

Penis envy. They can't be happy with their lot but need to feel better by trying to compare him to Hogan.

Fitzpatrick you mean.

Yes. Mea culpa.

Jake stringer v Jesse Hogan. Who will have the better career?

Only time will tell but I would predict Hogan by a long shot.

The incredible fall from grace by Port this year could perhaps raise questions as to whether there was perhaps "something unusual" they had been taking last year??

Could also be the Walsh factor

let's get stef back

how long is his contract at the lions?

Was a Neeld issue wasn't it, why he left?

Posted

Lobbe injured, Schulz and Westhoff horrifically out of form, a lot of mids injured and next tier not stepping up.

Very reliant upon Gray, Wines, Wingard and Boak

Is Schulz out of contract at the end of the year? Might be a handy get to play beside Hulk.

I'm dreaming, I know, but it's all I have left when I think about potential free agents.

Listening to the radio this morning it was interesting to hear the commentators making excuses for GWS because of their injuries. I've heard much the same about Gold Coast. Are we excused if we have a bad day today?

GWS and Gold Coast get preferential treatment when it comes to media excuses, because they only exist due to broadcast and media demands. They have no interest in making excuses for us because they're probably eyeing us off for expansion/relocation in 7 years time (broadcast rights agreement after the next).

They were very quick to excuse the likely fall of GWS due to losing Mumford. That became the media line across every platform.

Plus, he only played bad yesterday because he found out just before the game his wife was in hospital

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
