Have Claremont changed their policy on playing juniors in the senior team?

Thought they were fairly rigid on not playing under 18's in the seniors.

What are your thoughts on todays game?

Sound like Schache had a massive game:

Claremont are not the side they were although you can see them building again with a very nice set of players who were not drafted coming through and building good WAFL careers. I think it is more a case of what Petrovski-Seton showed in those games, it was to good not to give him a run.

Really appreciate the report on the game, you've given us a great run down of the game.

Look forward to seeing these guys in action in the return matches in Victoria.

I'll be in Victoria next week tossing up heading down to Simmonds to see Vic Metro vs Vic Country as I will miss Metro when they come to Perth. Will see how Sunday pans out with the family

Very interested in Clark, especially in the 2nd round.

At 193cm he's a big big mid, and running a 15+ beep.

Good hands in the clinches.

Nothing spectacular about him, but well equipped to grow into a solid Barlow type midfielder, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Can't see Tucker going that high if he remains playing the half back role rather than moving through the midfield.

And there's little likelihood Partington will go top three. He's a solid, know-what-you-get mid, and they very, very rarely go that high - I see him as low first round / high second. Think Dunstan - in theory should be able to play afl level straight away, but doesn't have the upside of Parish, Balic, or Ah Chee for instance.

I suspect we'll see Tucker play midfield at times for VC, he's had a couple of dominant games in midfield at TA level. Might need to show a bit more ability to win his own ball to go in the upper half of the top 10. Not saying he can't do it, but I haven't seen it yet.

Tend to agree with you on Partington.

remember all... Selwood played off half back jn his under 18 Vic Country side. He was hidden... Tucker is very very good. Selwood and Simon Black combo.

Let's just see how the nationals pan out first Norm.

SA's Aaron Francis is the bolter for a top three draft spot. He's had two BOG's in a row at the carnival and looks like a really versatile player who can take up most positions on the ground which makes him a very attractive proposition for most clubs.

Would be pretty happy to add Francis to our forward line if he is there at our first pick.

Forward line?

He can literally play anywhere including in midfield where at 192cm he could be a sensation.

Definitely looking like a tall crop in 2015:

- Weitering

- Schache

- Francis

- Weideman

All likely top 10ers at this stage.

We need mids but if a class tall is there, it would be super tempting.

Is Schache from around Hopetoun Vic Andrew?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
