I might just break down in tears if this happens.

Wiser heads than ours are making these decisions... I will not be complaining.

After OD informed me that my Eraserhead (John Nance) avatar was too disturbing for his liking :-)

On who comes in, no idea, as noted Bail and Pedersen did a very short drill at the end with the forwards from last game, but as I noted Jayden Hunt did the same with the backs, me I would prefer Michie in with Dawes/Watts/Dunn/Hogan pinch hitting in the ruck, it is only Ben Griffiths, not exactly a mature back up ruckman

If Richmond did not have someone watching I would be very surprised, I made a joke that both clubs had people next to each other with binoculars on Richmond station platform, just facing different directions

On the injury front, we have finally fixed Jayden Hunt, a week or two away from actually playing a game, and ANB pulled up really well after his first hit out

I wouldn't underrate Griffiths, he can ruck unlike his mate Vickery. We might get lucky and they will change them over this week.

To reiterate:

Dawes spent time (not all) with the rucks, he then re-joined the forward group. if you didn't see it TDI, you weren't looking.

Hunt spent time with the backs and I assumed it was to help out rather than as a foil or surprise inclusion.

I think that Cross took Ellis last year, maybe the same again this week.

Roos rates Ellis, he is a prime mover and distributor of the ball coming through the middle for them.

You're right 'Alf', can't believe I wrote that. Been listening to Dermott & Kingy too much.

Anyway, he does get a lot of footy and generally uses it well.

...........................................

Jesse Hogan spent 20 minutes at the end with McPherson goalkicking

Any indication that they were working on Hogan's run-up TDI?

............ and what about Garlett ...... any set-shot work?

If Bail gets a gig in front of Viv that will do for me.

Do not want bail anywhere near our best 22.

Who knows DD? It may all just have been a show for the Richmond contingent, but it did make me :( to see Viv with the Casey group.

Yep, they fed all of the input from the "Hogan looking great...BUT!" thread into a Cray Super Computer and came up with a program that they will be working with for the rest of the season to improve all areas of his goal kicking.

Dawes did not work with the ruck group when it was separated and with Stafford, he had stitches in his face, so they were trying to avoid contact, the ruck group consisted of Jamar, King, Gawn, Spencer and Fitzy at the start, if he was with the rucks on some other occasion then I must have missed it coz I was photographing something else

They seemed to be, he wasn't doing the usual hop step and jump, maybe trying to change it

Garlett always works on his goal kicking

I don't know what the fuss is about they have 11 goals between them in 3 games, if they stick to it we will have 2 guys with 40 goals each minimum, I want the scoring spread across the board, I am sure Roos does as well

Ha ha yeah I was commenting on the terminology that is creeping in, or has set in. Not on you. Kudos for not being super sensitive...

Famous last words. He's a big man with a good leap. Wouldn't want Dawes (or Pedersen really) anywhere near him at a centre bounce. Which means Russian has to do all of them. He'll also have a good advantage at around the ground ball ups. Any good key forward should be able to compete at boundary throw ins though. Much easier to win the tap or at least get enough pressure on to get the ball forward and down.

I'd much prefer Bail over Michie as sub. Last quarter and the game opens up a half forward with a great tank is more likely to take advantage of that than another inside midfielder.

I'd be upset if Bail starts over Michie, but as the sub I think he'd be a smarter choice. In fact I'd have Bail in considerations to being a permanent sub for most of the year.

Yeah I agree , Garletts doing his job. Getting plenty of shots on goal which is a positive.

He's on track for 30.70 and I highly doubt he's going to keep kicking so many behinds.

Yea nah

Fascinating contribution DD. Do you think Michie will make more impact than Bail as sub? I don't. If we aren't winning or halving the inside ball regardless we won't be winning the game. But when the sub comes on we'll need run to break the game open.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
