Can't wait to see him in AFL action....no more cotton wool.

Just hope our mid range players retaliate before somebody looks at JH.

Seriously... Don't Jinx it!

Living in fear. We talk about the team having a losing mentality. The supporters also need to change their tune.

I'm expecting a bag of 6 and BOG performance. Nothing less.

Same here and then we'll sub him off at half time and Brayshaw will come on and get 30 possessions in the second half. Saviours.

Thinking about the last time I saw Hogan play, it was just over two years ago on the Gold Coast in a NAB challenge match.

He kicked a few and tore it up, Watts was BOG that day too. Based on this evidence Hogan will kick a handful on Saturday, CARN DEES!

In an ideal World, Hogan will combine with Watts tomorrow to kick a bag, with Garlett, Frost, Kent, JKH and Vandenberg putting the icing on the cake! Let's hope for a massive statement tomorrow to show that we are back!

Please, Watts was just a boy, brandished around for marketing purposes.

Hogan has almost three years, about 20kgs, and a very different mindset to the boy Watts was in 2009.

Hogan will be a star and the only thing that will stop him is injury and we need some luck. We've been cruelled by injury or exceptional circumstances for as long as I can remember eg Tilbrook coming and then being a dud, Shwarz's knee, Jurrah's plight, Clark being dishonest, Petraca doing his knee, Lyon breaking his leg on eve of finals, Robbie Flower retiring early, Jimmy Stynes' giving Hawthorn the chance to win that final, Hawthorn avoiding the merge and going from strength to strength whilst we languished.......It certainly tests your resolve to be a Demon, but you have to have hope and can never stop your support. Hogan, Stretch, Brayshaw, Petraca........

I think I mispelt Petracca.

Hogan's biggest problem is that GC have two very good key defenders in May and Thompson. It won't be easy for him, especially without a foil, such as Dawes.

Posted

I think he'll need half a season to build into it. Without Dawes there he'll get the Suns best defender. Roos must have a plan for JKH, Garlett, Kent and Frost.

Even If Hogans drawing the best defender, he'll provide a target and pivot for other forwards to work with and off him.

Especially with the hype the Suns will be very conscious off him, I'd expect this focus will create space for the small forwards to create, especially early on in the game, or if Hogan kicks a couple.

I'd be happy to see 4 or 5 of our mids pick up 25 possessions....

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
