I'm not sure what the training regimen has been since the Bullies game but they're back tomorrow morning for the final run before team selection for Friday's NAB Challenge match.

Look forward to some more quality reports.

Supposedly the AFLPA have some minimum duration after matches in which clubs are restricted from undertaking any team training. 72 hours from their arrival home from their last match. I'm assuming they did their review Monday though.

WOW! Fabulous news!

Looks like our best 22 will be available for rnd 1!

Both won't play this weekend and will most likely have restricted gametime in the vfl practice match just a week out before seasons start. Round 2 at the earliest with round 3/4 more likely I would've thought.

Look forward to the usual in D'land House fighting and bickering. Popcorn at the ready.

Get stuffed.

Yer - hopefully they play 3/4 of a match next week and then 1 VFL match round 1. 2 matches might be enough given they are both senior players. I trust the coaching panel will make the right call. I think Howe is a week or half a week ahead of Vince didn't he train last week? Pray that we don't have any injuries against the bombers!

If they both play VFL next week I'd put them straight in for R1. They are both experienced natural footballers. They should be fine. Certainly more so than Dawes who Roos played R1 last year with no AFL or VFL games under his belt.

Howe in for MRI on hamstring soon.

If he was with main group, the club is just spending $200 to make sure healing is A1.

That could mean either he's stuffed for another month, that they're assessing whether to play him this week or next in the VFL or anything in betweem

White, Riley, Hunt, King and Terlich didn't play at all on the weekend. Are they training?

Hunt didn't train - he has some back soreness again. Misson says he'll take it easy for two weeks.

Howe in for MRI on hamstring soon.

Howe came off half way through the session and got a rub down on both hammies. He then did some running along the boundary at about 80% but didn't participate any further.

Without being an expert, if he strained a muscle badly he would not have been able to stride out like he did in the running on the boundary. He could obviously feel something was not right when he came off. Fingers crossed the MRI doesn't show any damage and that he just had a bit of tightness as he hasn't trained in the main group for so long.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
