Melbourne v Essendon @ Etihad Stadium - 20th March, 2015

Sorry forgot to put this in training thread, spoke to Kent, his heel was feeling fine, have to see how it is after training, then maybe a run with Casey if it is ok, same as what Misson said, he was limping on Sunday at Family Day so has made a quick recovery, did nearly whole sessiion

That's good news. Shame he isn't in the squad v Essendon but he still gets a chance to impress at Casey this week or next and I'm sure they get more flexibility at Casey with playing time than v Ess now it's down to 4 plus 2 subs on the bench.

And he will at least get to prove himself against a real team.

Let's remember that the Bombers are our bunnies even when they're at full strength.

2014 gained some ground by the 140-point loss in 2013 negates anything achieved in the 2011 and 2012 wins against the Bombers.

Just a couple of things... you have used the US spelling of criticise and usually the last item in a list should end with a full stop.

Actually the "Administrators" should give a three month suspension to anybody using American (English US) spelling in Demonland posts. Punctuation should attract a seven day suspension.

I am probably going to be taking our Japanese exchange student for his only taste of footy while he is here. Not a great drawcard, but beating Essendon will help!

They'll eat nearly anything i'm told.

If you go back far enough hardtack the 'ze' has germanic/latin origins. The English imported the 'ze' to America. If it wasn't for the Norman Conquest, the English would still be using 'ze' but instead the French introduced their 'se' and things got complicated. My rule is simple, 'ze' unless the word has French origins, such as surprise.

Go Deeze!

Whats going on with Fitzpatrick, out of favour?

Was he ever in favour??

Reasonable but limited skills are now seeing him out, Now that we have depth!

The surprise for me is how several who are less skilled still get named!

I think you know the two or three whom I talk about!

Just as well, given the garbage that is usually on sale. It is also probably a good thing that he knows nothing about the game ...

It took me a long time to zee what you mean, but thank you for zetting me straight. There are few things to change in my houze, not to mention my horzes and cheezes. Does that mean that a French zebra is a sebra?

Not to be on the negative bandwagon, but this is such a frustrating game for our club. The risk/reward scenario is so heavily favoured in risk for me; playing against players that view it as a last opportunity to put themselves out there, the possibility of injury (although always there whether it be game or training), and of course the potential embarrassment of losing to a team half made up of top ups.

I'm glad we're approaching this like round one, I want us to come out of the blokes and be up by 5 goals at quarter time and unlike last week I want us to go on with it. I want the team to view this as a statement to the competition, we are a new Melbourne.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
