Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Collingwood need to send someone to Gold Coast that will get us Pick 3 combined with our Pick 6.

Surely this is what we'll be telling Collingwood they need to do to get the deal done.

Are you serious?

White can't hit the side of a barn shed.

A truly awful set shot for goal. Arguably worse than Cloke, and that's saying something.

fiar enough ..but dont be surprised if the Filth do offer him up as steak knives to some deal. Thats teh filth

Seriously if they try and squeeze Jesse White into it I would rather send Howe to the friggen drafts

When was the last time the filth gave up anything of worth in a trade that went on to be a success?

If Kennedy is not involved as part of the Howe deal (nor should he be), we should just give the bird to the Pies and tell Howe it's going to be GC or the draft.

GC was looking good to Howe a week ago, why is it unappealing all of a sudden??

FIGJAM and McChins can GAGF, Howe too for that matter given the way he and his manager have tried to play us, but before he does he can get us something decent in return.

1 week in and the only club that has come out in front so far is Geelong.

17 other clubs are all neutral.

Other then Dangerfield, no A grade midfielder has been mooted as available. For one to appear out of nowhere is a little optimistic.

Where in my post did I mention an A grade mid? I'm talking about draft position. If you believe the rumours, MFC had lined up a move for GC's pick 3. Now that we dont have pick 25 the only cards we hold are 6, Howe & our 3rd rounder. We would have been better off holding onto pick 25 & waiting so that we have the option to use that pick if it could help us get another trade done. We have less flexibility now to do any other trades if they had arisen & there was no demand for Melksham from any other club, I'm sure he could have waited a week to help out his future club.

We hold more than that. Toumpas apparently wants out as well and, if the Dixon deal goes through as PA want, they'll hand over their second rounder for him. That's just one example.

I don't know why there is this belief that there was no other demand for Melksham - how do you Einstein's know that? Were you all behind the scenes doing the negotiating? Is someone his manager's brother?

Yes Toumpas, is an example of one other player who has currency, who else?

He had nominated Melbourne as his club of choice, there was no need to rush any deal.

The Age is reporting: Collingwood and Melbourne were also locked in negotiations over what could become a multi-club deal for Jeremy Howe to move to Collingwood, Jimmy Toumpas to move to Port Adelaide, Paul Seedsman to Adelaide and Ben Kennedy to the Demons. A complicated exchange of second and third round draft picks is also involved in the mega deal.

Jack Nial and Emma Quayle have been spot on so far so no reason to doubt them.

So much for Mahoney saying last night that Kennedy and Howe would be separate deals!

No matter what the exchange of later picks is, losing both Toumpas and Howe for a kid who has barely played and some picks does not fill me with any joy...

...yes I know, your advice is to wait till officially announced...sure!

Footnote: the article says Treloar and Aish to Pies deals almost done.

I reckon that is where Pies good picks have gone...I guess we get the dregs...yes I know wait till the deal is done etc etc etc

If we are getting in 2nd rounders to trade to GWS for pick 8 it will be genius. We should get ourselves in a decent position pick wise if we are trading out both Howe an Toumpas. Lets see what evolves

Hopefully that is what occurs. Alternatively we could trade the 2nd rounders to GC as well as pick 6 in a deal to get pick 3 & a player from GC to help them get their academy players (if worth drafting?).

Take your own advice. While this may be in the works we have no idea of the picks involved or what will actually go down. So before you have a mini meltdown just take it easy until it's done.

Maybe should stop being so condescending whenever someone posts something you don't like or is expressing doubts!

Childish. But then your over the top posts during this trade period should mean your above one comes as no surprise.

You aren't the only one but the amount of people on here who can't see past their noses at this time of the year is astounding. No one automatically wins or loses a trade. When 3-4 years have passed then you can take a good look at it, but to get all worried about now is just silly.

And besides, who knows what we have planned? We might land Kennedy and two second rounders, and we have some good plans in place for those picks. We know that teams are keen to get a GWS pick in the Top 10, and we may well and truly have an eye on that with further plans in place for 2 picks inside the Top 10.

So before you get childish about the situation you should think before you post. You'll do yourself a huge favour.

All this ends as far as No. 38 is concerned. Sunday. Is that right?

If so I don't give a rats toss bag.

Caulfield Cup day. The mind will be elsewhere.

Cest le vie

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f
