Has "gun" like attributes- obviously a terrific mark and can have a beautiful field kick, but as package or looking at his game on a whole, he isn't a gun footballer and his attitude isn't there. Will gladly take the best offer because we need more then the occasional highlight, we need the people who want to put in regardless if they're playing in their favourite position

I don't think number of games played would have a bearing on any potential trade to be honest. For example I'm sure North would trade Atley (100 games) for Brayshaw (15-20)...

Welcome to modern trading. Everybody wants to win trades and nobody wants to lose out. Some clubs are worse than others, Essendon are disgusting to trade with...the interstate teams seem fairly reasonable.

The facts are that Garland has more shortfalls than Howe, but the club realise that Howe has more currency, and more importantly interest from other clubs. I know who I'd prefer to keep, but as you say "an appropriate trade will be to our advantage."

North would be licking their lips at that, if the rumours are true that we are likely to get pick 22 from gold coast, i back in Taylor and VIney to get a great player at 6, 22 and 25. I think if North were serious it would be, north's first round pick, for howe and our third rounder

Willo was a top player and again, at the time we were seen as taking a big risk in giving him another chance.

As it turned out it was a huge win for the club - we were quite aggressive in our recruiting during that Barassi/Jordan era even though we were a poorly performed team. In a lot of ways they set things up for Northey, Wells and co.

It's very similar to what is happening now (albeit in a different sense) Roos (like Barassi) is able to see the talent in an under-performer from another club - hopefully we'll keep Roos on in a capacity where we can continue that trend of turning footballers around.

They're not facts, they're opinions. I assume any comments on here are opinions unless prefaced by the indefensible 'The facts are...'. In my opinion Garland is of greater value than Howe, particularly his physicality.

I would rather picks 6 and 15 than picks 6, 22 & 25. Especially in a shallow draft year.
