Why do we continue talking about a player who has no chance of coming to our club....

Got me stumped. He's all but signed at Geelong, the deal's been done for ages.

Move on, people.

What a disloyal traitor you are. I bet you old employer is sickened by your greedy attitude.

Why is he a traitor? People move jobs every day

I really dont get why danger would go to Geelong. In terms of their midfield up and comers I see only Caddy as likely to come on at the same level as their previous stars.

Yeah danger may not arrive at Melbourne

but could you imagine the egg on those faces if he does. Will sit back and enjoy if this does happen. Almost hoping it does tbh!

[irony emoticon] That's not what they say when footy players move for bigger dollars :) [close irony emoticon]

He's 25 years old for god's sake, does he want to move back in with is mummy and daddy so they can wash his socks for him?

He's a fully grown adult and a bloody millionaire at that.

Can't believe he wouldn't consider driving an hour to see his parents if it meant a better career move for him. Perplexing.

Interesting that we haven't heard any whispers from Chook or GNF this year about Dangerfield...

Its purely a family decision for Danger. If it was about the money he'd come to us because we offered nearly double and he said no.

You make it sound like Geelong is more than a 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne. Gee whiz, he could live in the northern suburbs and it would take him just as long to get to work in peak hour!

Astonishing, isn't it? He'd be crazy to take less more to play in Geelong. Why would you do that when you can get more money and play with an up-and-coming side? There must be more to it? The "go home" factor has nothing to do with it. People act like as if Geelong and Melbourne are in different countries. Geelong is just a suburb of Melbourne, really. It's to Melbourne what Milwaukee is to Chicago.

a series of quotes from sources yesterday:

1,000,000 - 1 shot

We're playing Hay List to Geelongs Black Caviar, but still a chance.

I've got more chance of being drafted.

Its difficult to not dream until it's a definitive no. But don't leave your nuts flapping in the wind waiting for good news.

What if I do it without any expectation of receiving anything in return? Just 'cause?

Well i'm going to take that as a good omen as Hay List was always my favourite horse!

Don't forget, Hay List never got to have a shot at Black Caviar when it was right at the top of it's form.

No I agree fully, but that's the only reason I can see him going to Geelong over us. We can offer him more cashola and honestly I believe we're in a current better position then Geelong, but hey, I'm not running the show.

I rate Duncan, Motlop, Guthrie, Cockatoo, Horlin-Smith plus an elite player in Selwood. If you had a star-studded team already, you couldn't fit Dangerfield into your salary cap.

I don't think they warrant that title

GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
