GOODBYE MITCH CLARK

Recommended Posts

Jon Ralph just said on 'Ed and Derm' that the MFC aren't happy with Clark as he said if he returns he won't come back to the MFC, but it will be a more successful club as the losses/rebuild isn't good for his mental state. Ralph then said that MFC said they would originally just delist him, to do what is best for Clark but now they will most likely play hardball and do what they can to get a trade as they feel that he has somewhat gone behind their backs slightly by wanting to play for another more successful Victorian club. This is coming from Clark's manager who Ralph said he spoke too. Again this is all Ralph's words that just occurred live to air 5 mins ago, so don't shoot me or my para-phrasing.

Mahoney's comments aren't exactly filling me with confidence that this is all hearsay gone wrong. I get the feeling we're on the verge of witnessing yet another kick in the nads for this formerly great football club.

And here I was hoping this, paired with the special assistance comments, were part of some kind of elaborate plan.

I read GNF's posts in the same way I read Nudge's. I enjoy them because they say things I like to hear and gets me pondering the possibilities, but as to actually believing them... Colour me a sceptic.

Short memory! In 2013 he stuck to his guns all year with the Paul Roos stuff. Even after the media had closed the book on Roos being open to coaching anywhere, and we had all given up. He put his balls out and was proven right. I'm normally pretty sceptical of anonymous posters with their 'inside scoops' but GNF has way more credits in the bank than others. Especially Nudge!

neither. as i said, i'm happy for him to play for any club interstate but to see him taking big grabs and kicking big goals for Hawthorn, Essendon, Geelong etc. makes me feel physically sick and sad.

Have held off on this but I've been concerned for a while now that this has a bit of the Jonathan Trott's about it.

If this is true by Ralph then Clark will be a hated player more so then Scully by alot of Melbourne supporters.

What people dont realized is the MFC also paid for his missus uni course.

Pull ya head in Clark

I honestly think it'll break me beyond repair.

It will be the lowest, most heart breaking moment in what has already been an awful decade for this club.

Jim handed Mitch his number 11 jumper. We supported him through injuries and depression and I was so proud of the club and Clark for how the situation was handled. To have it end with him playing for another club, would be beyond comprehendible.

I mean how many more blows can we take as supporters?

Clark left Brissy a similar way .

His contract will have to be exited with all the legal stuff in order.

If it is going to make him miserable here and the rumours are true then he should go to perth.

At the moment we don't know.

The way things are looking Mitch seems to be playing the system and we are being dudded big time. If so it would have to rank as one of the all time worst betrayals. Even worse than $cully.

Quite frankly if this is the ethos of Mitch Clark...then quite simply he can go %#@! himself...That would be the epitome of a dog act.

Thats how you repay respect and concern Mitch...is it ??????

$cully was/is a mercenary germ. . I thought , really though Mitch was a man of higher principles....apparently not.

Makes you wonder how much was just an elaborate con act ffs

edit...Id be only tooo happy to be dead wrong !!! and happily retract .....but.....

I tell you what, if that happens I'm going to get the photo of Jimmy and him blown up and take it to the game, hang it off a gap in the advertising when he plays in Melbourne.

Surely, SURELY, the AFL need to step in right now and do something about this?? This is an absolutely outrageous, appalling situation.

Or hand out a large bucket of special assistance.

Let's not jump to conclusions.

At the moment Clark deserves more respect and trust than that.

If however he goes and plays for another Melbourne club, it will be the epitome of betrayal and will render him one of the most hated players in the game.

This is heart breaking that we do everything we can to help a guy while being paid A grade money that he would do this to this club

You'd like to think that Clark and/or his connections would get on the front-foot pronto to clarify the situation.

The way the media reporting currently reads it portrays him as lower then a snakes belly.

Let's hope perception is not reality.

If this is accurate then its very disappointing.

I don't want anyone at the club who doesn't want to be there. Definitely play hardball and get a good trade.

I am sick of players wanting to leave our club for more successful clubs,

Its time to turn this ship around.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Brisbane

It's Game Day and the Dees are deep in the heart of enemy territory as they take on the Lions in Brisbane under the Friday Night Lights at the Gabba. Will the Demon finally be awakened and the season get back on track or will they meekly be sacrificed like lambs to the slaughter?

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.
