Not saying I want any, more that the 'ins' are not inspiring in the slightest.

I agree, they should have named Fyfe, Ablett and Franklin. What do those blokes have to do to get a call-up from Casey?

do people even know wtf they are complaining about anymore?

I agree totally uninspiring recalls. Turdlick, jones number 2 and giraffe boy. Are you joking! No future in AFL for any of these. Why not try a few of the VFL guys who haven't had much of a go this year? We're second bottom for heavens sake!!!

You're the posting police now are you C&B?

We can post about what we think, if the ins are inspiring or not. I'm merely making an observation that, in my opinion, the potential changes this week are not inspiring. It reflects more on the current state of our list than anything else, but it's nice to see you still bring nothing to a thread no matter what you post.

I bring nothing? You are having a whinge about nothing which is a pastime of many in this forum. Blease, Tapscott, Riley, JKH, Kent and McKenzie are ALL already in the extended side, who exactly of the remaining players on the list would you have preferred to see the coach name tonight so that you may be 'inspired'? I can pose that question knowing confidently there not is a name can you can offer that is likely to bring more to the table than any of the three INS named. Gawn I agree has shown very little but as well all know the big blokes take forever to do anything and you have to get them out to develop our ruck stocks for 3-4 years from now. 208cm blokes are just too rare that they pretty much get autoselected such is the nature of the game. Terl and MJones have at least put in some decent AFL matches which is more than can be said for the rest of the remaining list - so tell me, instead of pontlessly whinging, on what basis do you criticise the coach's selections tonight? Thanks.

The boys who played against Port earnt the right to remain in the side with their attitude and effort, bring it again and then some. Cross would if right have been an in for me

Not unexpected

What a waste of 5 lines. I said they were uninspiring selections, choices that don't excite me. I then said that it was merely a reflection on our list that the only ins for us at the minute are players that don't really bring a whole lot to the table. This is a discussion forum, although I applaud you for getting on your soap box and getting annoyed about nothing, which is kind of ironic as you generally spend a good chunk of your time whinging and criticizing others.

Maybe not inspiring, but is that due to lack of vision by the selectors, or a total lack of talent / performance in the twos?

Ridiculous post. Ablett's out for the year with an injured shoulder. Don't you know anything?

Nice nickname, with a name calling post of that quality, you should consider Richard Cranium, Matt Jones and Gawn played in the VFL last week, who would suggest as an in then, or is clear thought a bit beyond you?

Interesting. Think Terlich is the natural replacement for Grimes at half back anyway. If Cross plays I'm not sure it will be for Grimes. Also not sure what benefit if any there was to hiding Cross for a day.

Melbourne FC @melbournefc

NEWS: Jack Grimes has withdrawn from the squad of 25 for Sunday's match and has been replaced by Daniel Cross.

Good news if true, Grimes has been terrible lately. Hopefully Crossy plays , otherwise it will be Terlich........

A great In !!!

Geeze Grimes has been in terrible nick of late..... Still his late game spoil against Dangerfield still won us 1 out or 4 games this year.

And his poor kicking has lost us atleast two that I remember.

If that is the swap I think we have gained from the Port Game

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
