Everyone should have a look at the second booking for Steven Morris on the AFL site's video summarising the MRP. That is the most farcical report I have ever seen.

As for Jetta's, well stupid thing to do

Not good enough.

That's 3 suspensions in 3 years.

I hate players who miss through suspension. Injuries are bad enough...

Yeah, he should change the way he plays, it's clearly not working for him.

To paraphrase Mark Neeld - did anyone see this coming? I didn't hear or read about any 'incident'.

And dear little Daisy's elbow on Swan to me looked more significant that the "impact" of Dawes on whoever that Tiger was. Of course, different jumper, different interpretation.

Geezzzz the MRP are an inconsistent mob of corrupt fools.

And will Beams' sneaky jab to the guts now be taken as a precedent - anyone can jab an opponent in the guts anytime, it seems? WARNING: MFC players don't try it.

Jetta's incident happened right in front of us. A perfect hip and shoulder that was late. Should have been a free kick downfield and nothing more.

How the MRP assess that as HIGH contact based on vision from the other side of the ground is simply unbelievable. Then Beames and Daisy get nothing....please!

I'm with you BBP.

Nev of all people should know better - last year's holiday basically cost him the rest of the season and very nearly his spot on the list.

I was at the ground and I didn't see anything, either. Was it what caused that little brawl on the wing (city side)?

I think he got a week for punching the "air" in excitement when we hit the front!!

That's what I love the umps they can't c an obvious free kick or holding the ball but pull out this crapola from their rear.

Unbelievable.

He can keep playing the way he's been playing without the cheap shot, I would've thought?

If it was a cheap shot I'd somewhat agree.

It was a slightly late bump, nothing cheap about it.

Think your mate Powell was prone to the odd suspension.

Bring Back the Biff.

yep

crowd there went ape sh.t

Pull dogs supporters.

Some of the least knowledgeable football fans I've ever seen. Level 3 behind the goals at the 'Footscray' end. (How manufactured is that? Doesn't point towards footscray at all)

I'm pretty sure it was also right after he got his head almost ripped off with no free kick resulting. Pretty sure it was a frustration thing. Poor bugger, tough to control it when the hearts goin a million miles an hour.

Hang on, a few weeks ago Goodes and Franklin got off because there was no injury to their opponents did they not? Was the Western Bulldogs player injured?

Here is the Franklin bump, it's just the inconsistency that I do not understand.

nev would have got off too with carry-over points but he was ineligible for discount due to prior in last 12 mths

This is from the MRP:

"Contact between the Sydney Swans’ Lance Franklin and Gold Coast’s Clay Cameron from the second quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. Cameron has the ball and is preparing to kick when Franklin comes towards him. As the Gold Coast player disposes of the ball, Franklin meets him with a bump. A free kick downfield was paid at the time for the high contact and it was the view of the panel that the high contact in the bump was below the force required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was required."

Franklin didn't even get cited.

The footage is shotty and the fact that bulldogs players remonstrated was taken into consideration. They remonstrated because it was a young player. Ridiculous suspension.

I can't help but feel that due to the viney suspension Melbourne are getting bent over, all these 2 weeks down to 1 suspensions that aren't worth challenging

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
