He was taken in the rookie draft and you would want to give up pick 2 or 3 for him?

Dazzle's response to your post

You look absolutely silly here.. why?

Daniel Talia who just won Adelaides best and fairest and in the All Australian 40 squad averages 11.8 disaposals per game this year. He played all 22 games.

I would happily give up first round draft pick.

So you're saying there is no relevance to Talia in what you and Dazzle were discussing. Just tell me again he was referring to Frost as winning Adelaide's best and fairest and being included in the All Australian Squad.

Don't bring a knife to a gun fight Olisik. But keep climbing Mount Stupid because one day you will reach the summit

Paul Puopolo was taken pick 66 - what would you give up for him.

Where you were taken in a draft has zero relevance - can he play and what does the club think he is worth is the only relevant consideration

Other worthy players taken in the rookie draft -

B: Josh Gibson, Ben Rutten, Dale Morris

HB: Harry O'Brien, Mal Michael, Tadhg Kennelly

C: Kieren Jack, Brett Kirk, Matt Priddis

HF: Brad Sewell, James Podsiadly, Ryan Crowley

F: Stephen Milne, Russell Robertson, Aaron Davey

Foll: Dean Cox, Matthew Boyd, Michael Barlow

I/C: Aaron Sandilands, Tarkyn Lockyer, Andrew Carrazzo, James McDonald

It's quite amusing to have some inside knowledge of the situation, then seeing posers like Picket Fence making strong obvious proclamations, and acting as if they have some idea of the real situation when the reality is that they don't.

They've just hitched their star to an obvious wagon that most remain unsure of, then hammered the point home with such surety as they attempt to convince others their bluff is legit.

Laughable really.

Yeah well part of the info I already had was that

A) Best mate Rivers was already there

and now

B) Girlfriend is a Geelong girl with family affinity with Geelong and so another part of that puzzle was revealed today ( Although I already knew that from an informed sauce and it formed part of my reasoning) the main part however is still to be played out and when it does it will be as I have said. I will say though that unless a "Ship in the knight" takes the wind away I remain 99% convinced that Geelong will be his destination.

Laughable really! But Logical if so inclined!

Onya bike Frawley. We don't want you type here anymore!

Honest goers is what we will put our trust in.

Even if you stayed, you would need to be looking deep into your teamates eyes every game.

Congrats, you linked 1 post from a whole series of posts, I know who we were discussing as I started the conversation about Frost, read my earlier post. Pathetic response to ur fail post at trying to tell me who I was talking about.

He mentioned Talia to justify the low posession count and then replied abt Frost/what he would pay.

Stay out of conversations if you cant even follow them rather then making a fool of youself.

I think it was actually the year we took Gysberts 2 picks ahead of Talia...

You may well be right Machsy, in fact you are probably 100% right whichever year it was I am certain Talia was not taken in the Rookie draft

Yes, Rivers is there. Good mate. Frawley is in his upcoming wedding party, so it's true that there is a strong lure.

Also the girlfriend, yes, I know, met her a few times myself. But being in Geelong itself is not a priority.

Still, what you represent as being "done" based on a few convenient facts making it very likely are what make you full of ****.

Blind freddy could see that it was likely.

Over the line? It probably is now. But not when you said it.

And I'm at the stage of no longer caring enough to bother my sources.

Which part of the sentence "Frost was taken in the rookie draft" is too hard for you to comprehend?

You 2 still going at each other?????

FWIW the way i read olisik's post about 'player x' being taken in the rookie draft, he was referring to Frost (well that's the way i interpreted his post).

As for Daniel Talia, he was drafted at pick #13 in the 2009 draft, 2 spots after we drafted Lucas Cook at #11.

He thinks you were referring to Talia when you were talking about the player taken at pick #1 in the rookie draft. No doubt you know that, but no-one on this board ever wants to concede defeat....................ergo, this pi$$ing contest is still going on.

Which i'm finding very entertaining, to the point where i want to interject!!!

Yeah I know he thinks that but the link was about Frost.

Nethertheless I hope we dont pay overs for the kid. 4th or 5th round at most I hope.

What people seem not to understand is that not everyone has the same approach to life and relationships.

Speaking personally, I think Frawley has a duty of care, not only to himself, but to his current employer and, in this case, to a struggling football club that has had, and continues to have, its back completely against the wall.

That a leader of the club has openly stated that he will not talk to the club until 'the end of the year' in circumstances where he has allegedly spoken to at least one other (much stronger) club is, in my view, pathetic.

That people don't get this perspective also surprises/intrigues me.

I think this is a different point though, RB. People seem to hold up this idea of him being a loyal country boy as if it means anything. It's a load of superstitious/bizarre garbage.

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
