Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

GAME DAY - Round 11

Gee you're up early today Jack, or home very late.

Catching a flight somewhere are we?

I would give anything to be able to go there today and watch us beat the bejeesus out of them.

I will have to watch on Foxtel.

My wife will be away at a Baby Shower, I will have my own company and a lot of swearing at the TV.

Nothing will surprise me, we have improved out of sight and Port have Hamish and Casissi missing which might open the game up a bit for us.

I just noticed the latest team.

Riley omitted now emerg.

Toumpas takes his place on the bench.

When did that occur?

I heard Roos on "Roos View" and he said that the final position hadn't been sorted.

It must have happened after the training run at Alice I guess.

Whatever else happens today, the club should strongly consider playing all our NT matches in Alice, rather than Darwin.

It's a normal Autumn day here - there's no oppressive heat or humidity, and there'll be no problems with recovering from the energy-sapping conditions the players have to endure in Darwin.

We can beat this mob way from the MCG and Adelaide Oval. Last time we did that was in a NAB Cup game in near desert conditions at Renmark and the boys did the job. Any reason we can't repeat that in Alice Springs?

I'm with you Jack. The nervous tension is building, and my gut tells me that we are in this with a real chance. Jeez it's a great feeling ......... and certainly one I hadn't experienced for years prior the last few weeks

I would like to think we could beat them but the point you bought up about Renmark, Jack, was a bit of a furphy. That game was a bit like living in Bizarro Land as Port had half their team out and James Sellar kicked 5 goals! Next time we turned up at the G against them, they pulled our pants down and sent our season into a tailspin.

I will stick to my earlier prediction. We will annoy the s*** out of them for four quarters and they WILL earn it if they win. However, I reckon Port by 18 points but am happy to be proved wrong.

P.S. I listened to that pre-season game against Port on 5AA's live radio feed on the AFL website. Never before have I heard worse or more biased commentary. Shocking.

What a great feeling going into a game playing the top team and actually believing we are some sort of chance at the very least we will make it tough for them like most I couldn't be happier had a few things gone our way earlier we may even be pushing top 8 nevertheless I'm pretty happy watching this team grow in confidence and become a professional football team since I can't remember when go dees

Mark Jamar is the sub

That is a smart move.

Port are a running side, we can't afford to carry too much tall timber.

If we are going to win - we are going to have to run with Port.

Given that Lobbe will ruck a full game, he'll be up against it anyway - as we have forwards who can give our main ruck a chop out.

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.
