The response has been great. Thank you to all.

It is a good effort so far D'Landers, but we still need another grand to hit the target to keep us afloat.

C'mon boys and girls, give more before Hockey and Abbott take it away from us.

For those that haven't noticed....... Demonland is getting toward the targets to keep it alive. So thanks to all who have donated or subscribed...but we need about another $1000!.

It's simply not right that Andy has to fork out of this own pocket for OUR entertainment and sanity....So please help him ( and us tragics )

Dees win is the last leg in my multi, I pledge another $50 if we get up.

work out what's needed to keep the website afloat and viable. Divide the amount into the amount of "likely" members. I would be willing to donate $40 per year to keep it going. Would this be enough?

Any amount that one can afford is great.

we need a compulsory annual membership scheme.

As I stated earlier in the thread I am not a fan of forcing people to pay to use the site. I don't mind giving paid members some added perks, such as a mobile version of the site and no advertisements, but I don't want to exclude people from talking about the Dees. Times are tough and not everyone can afford to pay and if someone is strapped for cash I would prefer they spent their hard earned on the club on memberships and merchandise.. This is purely voluntary and targeted to those that can afford it in order to assist me in covering the mounting costs to keep the site running. The load that this site gets, particularly in peak times like post match, due to it's popularity is immense and in order to keep the site from crashing we have had to pay for better hosting services, which include increased specs and tech support and the costs were starting to mount.

I can't say this enough but thank you again to all those who have pitched in and thanks to those who decide to do it in the future.

Thanks George.

Last night our server passed the first test of coping with the post match load so a big thank you to all those who donated to make this happen.

I also want to thank everyone for being patient with us through all the outages and down time. Hopefully going forward we won't experience those same issues.

I've learnt to deal with the IT fact that there is a never 'fixed' point, it's always going to be a work in progress. Site is great even if some of the OP drive me to distraction.

That is the truth.

I'll settle for a "my heart doesn't sink every time I load the site" point. :P
