But also that Roos is deliberately laying a precedent.

That you may not be dropped for poor form if no one is capable of replacing you.

But you will not be promoted to the senior side unless you have demonstrated that you can perform the non-negotiables at Casey, or at the very least over a period at training.

And making an example of key senior players is a good way to strongly deliver the message to the playing group.

I seem to remember when we went well in the reserves, we came good a few years later in the ones, Lovett and others, what Roos was saying about getting the twos right makes so much sense, and it was good to see the goal highlights package from the Windy Hill game.
