Hope he comes back better. Surely his body must be OK.

The guy has a great pair of hands; and as if he aint quick, he needs to use them.

Get him tapes of Sam Mitchell and jobe watson etc... become that type of mid.

Spot on. If we could get a clearance and quick ball into our forward line JT could become very handy. He has a little bit and I stress little bit of Jimmy bartel about him.

He's been fumbling and dropping marks. He can't afford to be a 2 touch player.

Closer to home, watch Dom Tyson or even better watch some of his own first and 2nd year video.

Is actually a bit bereft of pace and ball handling skill. Trade bait I was told last week. Not one of Roosey's highest priority players. Like him as a bloke but as a top footballer he has pretty much missed the boat. He has mates in this area too.

Would have liked to see Blease in for Byrnes. Having said that, it would have been difficult to drop Byrnes as he had a decent crack against the Eagles and I understand the selectors view.

Despite Bleases inconsistency he seems to be a rarity in our team, a player who likes to take on the opposition, no matter what their position is on the ladder. We have nowhere near enough of his type on our list imo.

Surely you dont want to drop our leading goal kicker?

Trengove FINALLY dropped

Been calling for this since the start of Neelds tenure

Good to see we have some serious coaches now

I really get no joy out of Trenners being dropped but its not really bout any individual..You have to construct the best team.

And as such any and all players are just a piece of this puzzle . For mine their individual careers mean ABSOLUTELY nothing, that is nothing more than they can contribute and if they cant cut it...its over there with the others...and then off the list in some fashion.

You mean Trengove here?

Trengove isn't just a slow runner, he's a slow thinker and is slow to dispose of the ball.

That's what separates him from the likes if Mitchell and Watson.

But the extremely sad thing is that he wasn't always like this.

Seems like a hell of a bloke but I'm not sure Trenners would make any other team at present. Appears slow and undersized and with little upside. Before I'm torn to shreds, I hate thinking this and would like to be wrong.

So many Melbourne players lack the ability to get ball to boot quickly and effectively. Other players have that ability to get a kick off quickly when under pressure, or create a bit of space with sharp lateral movement and quick thinking, while so many of our players just don't have that ability. Fooked if I know why.

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
