i am seeking help from all you Demonland demon worshippers, i have been looking up the ancient demon text, on breaking curses this monday is the 31s t of march and on this monday it is a new moon, in the ancient text if this chant is recited at midnight on a new moon if it will end a curse, And it will bring in a new era.

So if many believe, and if many recite the chant at midnight on the 31st of march monday night, when the new moon is in the sky.

oh the man of the underworld, oh dear spirit of norm smith, arise awaken at the sight of a new era, norm smith forgive the past, this is the present a new club, let it once again be great and mighty, let the demons football club rise above the football world, enough time has passed let the healing begin, enough time has passed

So how many believe, so how many will join me and recite the chat.

is it a new moon tonight, is it?

maybe a new leaf will unfurl tonight as well?

Perhaps the group chant should be held around Norm's statue. Thirteen members randomly selected and holding hands. Some old rope (preferably from Miller's) could be burnt as an offering to thr footy gods.

How could a coach who was once a Fitzroy Champion lead us out of the darkness?

I will buy in to the curse being lifted but must we do it on April Fools night ?

We have to get this right - so I hope those with training in the occult arts don't make a mistake

Without Lord Weavers words of guidance I will give paganism a shot.

I think an open apology to the descendants of Norm might help. Or a field trip by Demonlanders to Norm's grave and a service.

Does anyone know where Norm is buried? Maybe we can revive him and he can solve our issues up forward?

Desperate times call for desperate measures. There has to be some sort of official apology to break the curse imo.

In the NFL the New Orlean Saints were constant strugglers with dismal seasons in succession and really bad luck with injuries, player management and weird bad things.

in desperation their supporters (who wore bags on their heads to hide their faces in shame) held a voodoo ceremony in their home ground at the start of the season to break the curse. It worked and not long after they started to succeed - eventually winning a super bowl...

dumb I know but it makes you wonder if you list all the bad luck beginning with poor old Troy Broadbridge.

The new Orleans saints in the NFL had to organize a full on voodoo curse breaking thing at the start of their season to break their curse or bad juju - and if you read their story it read like ours but without our old history of success.

voodoo is the go.

Just on the Saints, I was telling my brother & sister about the bag heads at the game on Sunday and said we should start doing it if the team doesn't improve by the end of the year.

If the MCC members do, then I'm in as well.

I said not long ago that Demonland would have officially jumped the shark if people began advocating we set up car park rituals to resurrect Norm Smith.
Resurrecting Norm hasn't been suggested but we are getting close. I call on the mods to close down Demonland for whatever dignity it has left. ;)

I am astounded that a few have not been on here demanding the thread be closed.

It's just some light-hearted fun OD. We need to be able to poke fun at ourselves because if we don't laugh we'll cry.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
