Thats such an indictment on the MFC

Every other club has had multiple superstars since then

What the hell is wrong with this club

We have had a few others h_h

The trouble is they get serious injury / breakdown in there first 20 games

Or succumb to their owns ego's or booze

I always thought Neitz was a superstar in the same way Chris Grant was - perhaps not competition-wide, but definitely in terms of our club, he absolutely was in my view.

I thought that Clark could be the same, but alas it appears not. Nate Jones is in the same way Todd Viney was, just a heart and soul player.

We haven't had an actual competition-wide superstar since Robbie.

Unfortunately each time he kicks a goal instead of a point the ball goes back to the center. People seem to forget this but I am pretty sure if wd had kicked a few extra goals the amount of scoring shots we would have had would be less...

man he is an accurate long kick though, he was unlucky with those shots, could have been 4.1 easily, two posters and a mark right on the line.

do you mean because once we kicked points, we were able to force a turn over and manage another shot on goal?

otherwise if you kick a point or a goal, its still 1 scoring shot, just get more points from kicking goals.

I hate the word overused word "star" or "superstar" - we haven't had one since Flower. Loved Neita and he was a true champion of the club but wasn't a superstar. And there have been lots of champions of the club and I am sure Nat Jones will be remembered at the end of his career as that.

It remains in the 50m arc if we get a point opposed to going back to the center if we get a goal.

If we got goals we may have had less scoring shots consideriny the Saints were on top of clearances.

External options? Possibly a few out of Sydney soon in response to the whole taking a pay cut for Franklin issue.

All we have to offer is money or a place on a list for an older star getting pushed out (ie Chapman)

Both Geelong and Hawthorn have an ageing list which might fit this.

We have had superstars. Superstars are players who are of such a high standard that opposition clubs have to plan for them. I reckon these blokes qualify -

Like him or not Gary Lyon was an absolute star even though he was cruelled by injury.

Alan Jakovich was also a bona fide star but all to briefly and we would be comparing David Schwarz with Wayne Carey if not for a series of knee ops.
