Some measure of Mitch's commitment to his footy, and more generally the Club, will be whether or not he shows up tonight.

My money says he won't bother, preferring to post photos taken around his house (his latest subject) on Twitter.

Six weeks to recover from a 'hammy twinge' - you're kidding aren't ya?

Well, you lost your money didn't you?

He didn't ask to dislocate his lisfranc and have soft tissue issues playing for your club - but here we are.

Show some respect.

It's been fairly well documented that Mitch 'sings from a different hymn book' than your average AFL player.

What I'm on about is the fact that Mitch's passion for photography has overtaken his enthusiasm for footy. It's got nothing to do with how much money he can make from one profession or the other.

He'll be on good money for the next 3 years whether or not he even steps on the ground.

If you follow https://twitter.com/MitchClark11 there's sweet FA about the football side of his life in comparison with his photography.

Ridiculous.

If Mitch didn't have any outside interests, particularly over the past two years, he'd be in a mental institution.

It is in the best interests of everyone to have some interest away from work - keeps you sharper and much more pleasant to be around.

I don't care what Mitch does outside of photography but considering he's earning millions of dollars it would be nice if he could string a few games of footy togother.

Have to say on this topic ( healing) I'm a big believer in hyperbaric chambers

heard a rumour the other day,

hes started to train and decided to take up footy.

he also apparently has a coach that knows the value of being patient and getting the player right, before putting him on the field.

funny way to go about it,but shaping of the forward line will be interesting ,until mitch arrives with full fitness.

dont think

pr is not afraid to use other players in the meantime.

So, are you saying it's Clark's fault that he hadn't been able to string a few games together?

Are you implying that Mitch isn't doing everything he can to get back on track? Maybe he is distracted by photography? Or are you just trying (unsuccessfully) to be smart / clever?

Just a question CTM - is this based on scientific evidence, in this context, or a hunch?

Thats ridiculous, he has hardly played a game in 2 years and his team has lost close to 40 games during his 2 years at the club, whats he suppose to tweet "Yay another setback guys" "good job by the boys to get within 100 tonight" seriously.....

Two wrongs Machsy!

Very true. I wish I cared about being the bigger man!

I think mjtnfi is just trying to deflect attention from the fact he used to post under another name.

It's baffling, but I'll leave it there.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
