You know things are looking up when you spot Old Dee liking a post that exudes confidence about how we're being run. :)

Mate I am way more confident in life than you may think.

When it comes to the MFC there has been bugger all to be positive about either on or off the field over recent times.

I think the results show that my pessimism has been justified.

It looks different this November and I very happy to see it.

geezus , this is a whole different place now isnt it !! :)

Its looking like a footy club that has a list that looks like a footy team. Its got people at the helm who seem ( at last ) more interested in the furthering of the club ( than any t her agendas ) . Its getting people interested in hopping aboard the bus both commercially and from a following's perspective.

We've got Coach and staff who talk the club up and head the nuff nuff's of the nong-estate off at the pass before they can get a biased question out.

I am at the right place.......this is Melbourne....it is isnt it ??

If all this off filed overhauling doesnt filter through to game-spirit, then nothing ever will.

Go Dees

I was sayin' exactly the same thing this time 2 years ago, like so many others.

It does this time have a different smell.

I seriously rate what you say Old Dee as you've been spot on mate, if you're feeling more confident I take that as a very good sign.

To be fair to Old Dee, I'm not sure many of us could have been positive last year. Last year was the first year where I have followed footy and the results made me angry. I was sick of the spin, the inept performances and the lack of professionalism of those higher up.

Despite what some have said of me, I'm not negative for negatives sake. I calls it as I sees it. And there is a lot to like so far. I'm still a results man and I'm loathe to get too excited after the disaster of what I call 'the Red and Blueprint/Reality Bus' era but I like what I see so far.

Gonna have to think of other ideas for xmas presents now... I mean, wont need a new jumper every year now...lol

Only $2m a year??

We need that stability in the club, that includes sponsors, three years gives the club time to improve, it enables us to focus on the football side of our business knowing we have our main sponsor locked away.

Poor old Demonland  .......gonna have to redo that banner now !!!:rolleyes:

Well you should. The stars represent the premierships and I'd love to see the neck and shoulders covered in them before I log out of here.

Yeah well I agree on that...but I was saying I am not offended by them as some here seem to be.

Do they sell Fords?

Wife wants a new car and only likes Fords.

Have I missed it or has the AFL website ignored the new sponsorship deal while picking up other parts of the press conference?

In Victoria they do, two dealerships.

No idea about WA check the web site.

OD IMO Ford currently makes poor cars.

But never argue with someone who has access to where you sleep LOL

Looking to spend 30 - 35K on a car sometime in the next 12 months, and hadn't heard of this mob until today.

I wonder if I can get them to knock 20% off the price because I'm an MFC member?

We have three in the family TBF

I have an LPG Falcon. 140K's without a single complaint

My Daughter and son in law have different model Focus.

Daughters only problem is a blown power steering rack after 150K.

Mine is the first Ford after many years with numerous other brands

No complaints from this family

True, but companies like that aren't trying to sell something to the public. They are trying to get onside with the public, ie. 'please don't object to our next mine digging a big hole in your backyard'.

......which is selling something to the public.

Yes, but AHG doesn't have an image problem which it needs to 'correct' unlike some companies.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
