yes. it's been suggested before that we could have 2 clash jumpers which would at least reduce the number of times we are forced to wear the yukky white

i think the club could consider this. the cost is negligible esp as they often wear one-off specials anyway.

it would also give them an extra merchandising option which i think would be attractive to many

Why don't we wear a pink away jumper next year and then when we come out still soft as butter under the sun we can blame it on that?

My position hasn't changed on the jumper at all.

Red & Blue with white numbers is fine by me.

The alternative is too close to a Swans jumper or bulldogs for me.

I actually quite like our clash jumper of 2011-2013, best we've had so far. More than happy to wear it next year against St Kilda, Carlton, Adelaide, Essendon, Bulldogs, Port and West Coast.

I find it amusing that some people apparently can't see why we'd need a clash jumper against St Kilda, Adelaide, Bulldogs or Port.

Being a forward-thinking club with a distinctly-different and aesthetically-pleasing clash jumper is something supporters should be proud of, rather than being a stick in the mud club, and/or waiting for the AFL to force the issue, or waiting until other clubs do it successfully before following suit.

Because Adelaide, St Kilda and Port wear dark colours. Melbourne wear dark colours. Thus the clash.

Bulldogs is a clash as both clubs wear red and blue. Although I do concede neither team had to wear the clash jumper last year in both meetings.

I'll give you West Coast. No real clash there. West Coast have never worn a clash jumper when they play us in Melbourne. Conversly, Melbourne always wears a clash jumper at Subi.

We all understand the reasons for a clash jumper, but let the other Clubs change their jumpers. AS we should keep ours, because only Red and Blue will do.

For example Richmond is predominately black (ie dark) and Melbourne predominately navy blue (ie dark) yet there is no clash

i found last year that our clash jumper (predominately light) was a worse clash with the St.Kilda jumper than our home jumper

I think this is biggest problem for supporters in the design of a clash jumper.

The prevailing thought that if we change our jumper colours somewhat to avoid a clash that we are somehow "surrendering" to the AFL and other clubs, and that we are showing integral weakness in doing so.

I think this is a very narrow minded and incorrect way of viewing the issue.

I agree. Worrying about the jumper is what Schwab used to do instead of focusing on the main game.

We can wear any color as far as I'm concerned, I just want to see us competitive and look forward to the footy again.

The Brisbane supporters voted to ditch the "paddle pop lion" tonight.

"The jumper is so important to the identity, culture and heritage of a football club," Adam Staines, a spokesman for The Lion's Roar, said earlier this year.

Another example of a supporter base from a poorly performing club that just doesn't get it.

No one cares because they have been winning.

I'm with the Brisbane supporters on this one. They took a classy and meaningful jumper and changed it into a cluttered cartoon mess.

The difference between this and having a white jumper is the club changed it off their own bat, not because of AFL imposed colour restrictions.

I don't understand how Schwab gets involved in this equation. I would have thought it was within the CEO's area of responsibility to be in control of issues such as the guernsey etc and the football department is responsible for the way the team plays.

PJ is now the CEO and therefore the jumper is an issue that comes under his watch and what happened in the past with silver jumpers, those silly cartoon jumpers etc is all a matter of the past.

Hopefully, when the team steps out in round 1 it will look good and play well and what past officials may or may not have done is irrelevant except to those who bear deep seated grudges.
