you'd have to be pretty confident in your case if your boss wasn't going to attend the trial

You know what...I think they are ;)

THE Bombers board faces a challenge from supporters, including former players and board members, who are unhappy over its handling of the supplements saga.

*couldn't find a link on foxsports so may/may not work for you

Gist:

  • Possible multiple tickets will challenge the Paul Little-led board, which remains deeply divided on matters including the return of James Hird as senior coach
  • Several powerful club supporters have stated they have minimal confidence in Little’s combative strategy,
  • The AGM promises to be a heated affair. There is a view among some that the board members have not been made accountable.

That Dam's looking a bit dodgy  ( well everything Essendon looks dodgy really )

The first of many cracks that will end being a fissure that will end up with a complete rebuild similar to Roos revival at Melbourne. The cost of Hird and Little to this club will be measured in millions of dollars. Cant say it bothers me much, happy to see this god forsaken pack of lunatics get what theydeserve

It really is amazing.

Hird, "I want the truth to come out".

ASADA apparently knows the truth, as Hird, the players and the club have told it the truth.

Then when the truth is about to come out, go to Court to stop the truth coming out.

well...not so much fault........

ASADA have documents relating to the joint investigation, if Essendon had a problem with that why wasn't it mentioned until show cause notices were issued?

umm, why should that matter even if true. They'd have to establish that that pressure actually affected what ASDA did and futhermore that ASDA acted badly as a result.

clutching.......at...........straws !!!!

in fact their whole case is premised upon a Strawman's argument

I don't think so. Rather I suspect that their tactic is to just cloud the issue in the public arena, get on-side those who hated the previous govt etc. So it looks like clutching at straws but is something else.

Without evidence that as a result ASADA acted improperly it would go nowhere in a court I would think.

It is a straw argument for mine. There hope is that the findings of the investigation are turfed because it ( the investigation ) is deemed somehow illegal . How that can be when they have signed on to the covenant that oversees the whole shebang is just this side of comical ( actually...totally laughable ).

They suggest its some sort of witch hunt. That they were in the sights of various agencies.Gee I wonder why, possibly because they were being rather naughty perhaps !!

Everything is a result of their wrong doing. ACC, ASADA, The AFL, WorkSafe, all have responsibilities and rights to investigate. WADA are entitled to ( because they wrote the rules all agreed to ) to co-op other agencies as they see fit , and did. Its not for the EFC to lord over any of these in their endeavours.

They make out to be the victims when in reality they are the instigators of everything.

Guess what you cheats, you invite the cops in...well they are going to find lots if youve been naughty. They are at liberty to use whatever is reasonable in their search and they did just that. You cant now call foul !! Well you can, but it ought to fall on deaf ears, even if you do get a hearing !!

Been saying for ages their strategy is to make public opinion so against asada that the footy world thinks asadas stuff has no credibility.

They will take their whack but everyone will think its really harsh and demand their damage is limited by the afl

Who will roll over because they love people watching footy

But will there be more, or fewer, people watching footy if they let drug cheats get away with it? IMO letting the drug cheats go free could have a big adverse effect* on interest in the (once) great game.

*together with the degradation into rugby style mauls, and ultra defensive game plans - yes, Roos and Lyon for starters

Theres a groundswell rising now out there on those Windy Hills. Not everyone's been conned, though why its taken so long for many to wake to the folly that is Essendons attempt at hoodwinking the system I'll never know. Maybe just dumb belief that those in charge actually had the well being of the players and club at heart , all that despite what grew to be the bleeding obvious that something stank to high heaven out there. Was it that some were so immersed in the lie that it became self perpetuating and some had travelld to far down the murky path to retreat.

Many I have no doubt simply offered blind loyalty.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
