Some of the comments from Freo Supporters and how much they highly rate him..

''Congrats guys, you just picked up a 150 + game solid on baller. I'm pretty devo ATM, but well done''.

''As I said earlier. You have a best 22 player there easy. The steal of the trade period IMO''.Well done.

''you guys just got a massive bargain. he'll be as good for you in the midfield as roberton was in the saints backline''.

I'm a bit disappointed. But you guys have grabbed a champ. Hard running, tough at it, beautifully skilled, and an inherent set of footy smarts. Viv will be an asset for you guys next season and really fills a gap. I'll be attending a few more Dees' games next year.

''I wouldn't say Michie is particularly quick, his main asset is reading the ball off the ruckman's hands. He'll be a very good inside mid for you guys I think, he dominates the clearances in the WAFL games I've watched live. He was just unlucky that his role is the strongest part of our team (Fyfe, Mundy and Barlow).

''Viv is a really solid, natural footy player. I'm angry that he decided to leave us and I reckon you have got a bargain''.

I would be interested in how many D'Landers posted similar comments about Sylvia

I just went onto the freo forum site also, it [censored] me off when I read posts on there (to quote):

- I'd bet $54 that he'll win their b&f next year;

- I'd bet $50 that they'll be on the bottom next year; and

- He'd play well in a crap team like dees.

I know we've sucked over the past few years, but geez I hope one day we can hold our own and stick it up these blokes - f#>king pisses me off!!!!

I wouldnt be too upset about comments from the purple haze..

They would still be kicking themselves about losing the GF but im afraid they would probably miss....

How's this from a freo supporter..

''really nice kid too. likes to buy books from op shops to read of an evening. no joke''.

haha

No wonder he is coming to us. Dawesy old man I believe owns an antique bookshop somewhere. They can swap books and read after training accompanied by their tweed jackets, pork pie hats and wooden pipes.

He'll fit right in at the dees!

Glad we got him cheap. Have some mates who played with him during his Chargers days and apparently he has some serious question marks regarding work ethic and discipline. I certainly hope this is not the case.

Are they the same mates that didn't progress onto an AFL list?.......do you know why they didn't by the way?

Welcome aboard Viv. I am very happy with this get. The thing that makes me like him the most is that he seems to have two things a few of our players don't ... very good vision and also that extra bit of time that some players possess.

Maybe the thing I'm most excited for is the the R in Trengrove, the A in Maloney, the O's in Pedorson, the E in Clarke, the A in Taggart, the U and R and often missing E and S in Burns and quite possibly my favourite the E on the end of Dunne now have a new friend. Welcome to the T in Mitchie.

Dare I say it, if you watch that highlight reel closely you'll see shadows of Brent Moloney, just in the way he moves, kicks etc. Not relevant one way or the other, just interesting...

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
