Ours were put on the placebo program.

I think you'll find even those on a placebo see some sort of positive outcome.

More like a Flacido program for our lot.

Waiting for the really obvious photoshop of the call of duty black ops video game with guns replaced with syringes...

You'd expect that with The Age.

With the Herald Sun I'm just expecting a literal black picture.

Only a rumour but there's a chance that one of their sponsors will jump ship if an adverse finding is announced by ASADA.

I'd be more surprised if one of their sponsors decided to stick with them.

spent the best part of 40 years copping it in the neck from everybody, and im sick of it

after milking last night , had dinner with the missus. put fox on to make sure the dees had done nothing else to embarrass me and low and behold , after a sip of tea and an after dinner bicky. I flicked around to see what was going on in this world.

and then it happened 40 years of average drained away, draft pick mayhem drained away, players shirking the issue -gone

cows dying in the shed during milking -gone, kids not helping on farm-gone

those two words that changed my life and gave me ammunition for the next 6years

I am thinking bout the little kids that wore the number 5 on their back and worshipped the well spoken kid from Canberra that came down to Essendon with the poncey bob haircut and took all before him.

All these years later the Golden boy of the Club ,who didn't really want the job, has fallen and been exposed as a liar and a fraud.

All those free kicks ,all those Brownlow votes ,all that media darling images just seems a waste now .

I've always despised the mealy mouthed Tird.

I have had enough of the speculation!

Lets revert to old practises.... put the team in chains and throw them in a lake to see if they drown.

And if they float, then we burn them at the stake!

My prediction.

Since the powers at the Bombers are making noises to fight it out and more tellingly trying to embarass AD, the penalty will be harsh.

Loss of premiership points for this season and most of next season.

Suspension of players.

Multi million dollar fine.

Draft pick penalties for the next three seasons.

Of course there will be a hefty discount if they see the error of their ways, take their medicine and help this issue disapear quickly off the agenda. If they fight they will lose a war of attrition with the AFL. This is something for Hird to ponder if he has the genuine interests of his club at heart.

He hasn't shown that he has, more like he has self interest at heart.

On the Day of the fateful Press conference where they EFC outed itself Mr. Hird said.

I am the Coach I take full responsibility.

Strange he is the only one who has not resigned.

How does that work?

Well, in due course when there is no-one else left at the club, he will be solely responsible for everything.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
