OD, I am, like all our supporters fully aware of how crap we have been. That's no reason to throw judgement out the window and be overly-negative about every rumour and speculation and to do so with such gusto and relish. That might be an emotional response, but I doubt whether it does any good for the readers of this forum or for the club. I also doubt it is useful therapy for the writers.

I heard the Lions have a huge debt. How are they going to get Roos at the big figures that are being touted for him? I am unaware of any generous benafactors or handouts from the AFL at this stage.

"The financially-stricken Lions have already asked the AFL for additional funding, and Johnson said if granted, that would go "exclusively" towards football operations."

All I was suggesting Sue is that supporters are starved for anything positive to talk about.

So they hang on anything that might generate a change in our situation.

someone see him on a dawn flight at Ess airport ?

He must really be getting sick of having to wake up at the crack of dawn to catch all of these 5:30am flights.

But the ones I'm referring to don't hang on things that might change the situation. They just hang the club at every turn.

Hey worst case is that we are up to 101 pages of will he, won't he.

Thanks for that Mr Roos cause we still have no farting idea who is coaching us "at the moment".

Oh the joy.

One thing is for sure. Wherever Roos ends up the spotlight will be well and truly on him. He knows this. The question is, will he succeed or end up looking like a rabbit in the headlights? An aura has been created around him. I think he is good at coaching but is he really THAT good? Who knows but I have my doubts.

Roos again today said that at the moment he wasn't interested in coaching.

Also said tonight he had a soft spot for the ol' Roys...the Lions. also he may entertain coaching but not atm.

Tami has spoken. Brissy looks good to her.

You really do have to wonder why Voss was necked , in this manner, at this time, without someone in the wings.

I really dont believe anyone.. especially when a TV camera is involved !!

Alternative is simply they wanted to get into the market for a replacement before the end of season. Wondering is all we are doing.

You could actually do that without being so over the top, so public. Not necessarily mutually dependent.

Have to agree. The high profile coach as messiah can lead to disappointment. See Mick Malthouse. We were desperately keen on him and thankfully didn't.

Cards, I will write him off as the bloke who was going to come and instantly gift Carlton a Premiership. Remember, that was his original brief.

Fair point Old Dee. Having said that, both had the knack of separating themselves from their players performances. MM just gets paid more to do so atm

I think its all a big Roos to deflect from the fact that he is not coming to the Dees but as others have Hird he is going to the Bombers.......Voss!

Premiership coaches who failed their last messiah gig since 1970.

K Sheedy at GWS

D Pagan at Scumland

M Blight at ST K

A Joyce at Bulldogs

R Walls cant remember

A Jesaulenko at St K

R Barrassi, One messiah success. Two failed.

T Jewell cant remember

J Kennedy at North

True Messiahs

M Malthouse, on the way to fail at scumland?

L Mathews.

D Parkin, had a failed stint at Fitzroy in between.

We have have less than 30% chance of landing a true messiah. But thats better than what we have gotten for decades. A big challenge ahead.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
