WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - PAUL ROOS

Sorry DJ, I'm not placing blind faith in Jackson.

I'm concerned about his hidden agenda.

I'm more and more confident that

a) someone has hacked Jumbo's account and has taken over, perhaps Rangy who has been suspended as far as i'm aware or even Jose? or,

b) he has snapped (understandably) due to too many years supporting a basket case of a club, i'm mad as hell and i'm not going to take any more or

c) he is going off radar, black ops, off the grid, gone rogue, broke bad, is waging a misinformation campaign

And you are kidding if you think that Jackson would give the reigns to Brown, Ling or Kirk and that fans would be excited over them.

Fans would be wary of them, anxious even.

And Craig is contracted for next year. And he is a proven head coach.

Now you are becoming boorish.

What agenda or you paranoid about? And why do you think a MFC employee - which Jackson is and will remain for the life of his tenure - will do what you are so nervous about?

I would love to get Kirk in as an assistant. An out and out winner.

For those too slow or without memory - that was Brian Royal.

What year did Ratten take over our midfield, from memory he was the one that fixed our midfield.

You don't need A grade midfielders to be organised and well drilled, our midfielders have no idea at stoppages, the defensive side is always open, they work as individuals with no team blocking.

Anyone that backs our current assistant coaching staff has no idea, when was the last time Royal was at a successful club, same as Rawlings, Brown great from Collingwood but was a third string back up tall.

i have to say that often our mids work to positions of least effect often turning the wrong way and/or attempting to link play with the most dubious of choices.

Much of this must surely go to whatever it is they are drilled in.

I'd love to get him as a coach!

A young coach (currently an assistant) that has a profile, knows the contemporary game, will still be fitter than most on our list and has had a long, respected career.

You know my names.

Fmd - Blokes like Jonesy, Gawn, Spencer etc will develop through the stratosphere! Even Watts will find his mojo.

Please, no Eade, no Williams, no Craig, no Ratten!!

Relocation is definately on the cards for us....

Why would an ever expanding AFL, want to save a club that own's a pittance of the melbourne market... Which could easierly be recovered by the stronger clubs in melbourne....

The stronger clubs would appreciate the space and the AFL would love to attack another market..... like Tassie,Darwin or New Zealand..... The articles will start soon....

we are a promotional and marketing must for a national comp, not going anywhere.

why is that? Because our name is Melbourne? Hahaha.... Lot of good thats done so far.... Edited by tatu

He was at St Kilda for 2010 when they drew the GF but this was as a Development Coach. In four stints as an Assistant he has been dogged by mediocrity. More recently this has been especially so.

Well the penny has finally dropped on the AFL. Thats why they are taking away responsibilty from the incompetant old boys who have been living on past glories and traditions for far too long. If the AFL wanted to relocate us they would let us starve until an inch before death before throwing us the lifeline.

the AFL wont move us anywhere the oldest club named after the capitol city of the heart of football stands for too much and means too much in a promotional and marketing sense.

That's how i see it...and it may be why the club did not go to court last summer.

The AFL want the Melbourne Football Club strong and at the G....we are worth a lot more to them where we are than a relocation which would cost a fortune for decades.

No, you give me a break!

I will not pander to mindless surrender to a CEO who has been appointed by the AFL.

What about the fact that he was probably the most qualifies bloke to take on the role? We got the best, finally a professional at the helm and you're all negatives!

    GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Essendon

It’s game day and the Demons face a massive test which may determine whether they have what it takes to play finals this season. The task has been made all the more difficult without their Premiership Captain Max Gawn.

    GIANT HEADACHE by Whispering Jack

The crack in the captain’s ankle might be very small but the repercussions of the injury are enormous. The aftershock of the news that Max Gawn will sit on the sidelines for the next two or three weeks has provided Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin with a giant headache, not unlike the one he faced after the Kings Birthday when another Demon superstar Christian Petracca suffered his season-ending injury. That headache is magnified by the fact that Goodwin is facing a month of tough encounters a

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.
