You can approach chocco and eade during the season I believe you can't appointment/announce them until they have finished their season thus no one leaving with a couple of games to go etc etc

I don't even think that we can interview them until the season is over.

It's Roos or Craig I'm hearing, from a very credible source.

Is both an option?

Roos is out of the race according to Gerard Healy on 3AW tonight.

He was asking Dees Supporters if they had a choice between Craig,Williams and Eade, who would you choose?

Choco with a really good new senior assistant coach, say Scott Burns or Cameron Ling.

Craig and Viney to stay on at the club in some capacity.

Junior to come back to the club in some capacity.

Misson's position to be maintained.

It's irrelevant whether we can or not.

PJ has publicly stated that we won't speak to candidates without gaining permission from their employer first.

yes he did. Question is, if he does get permission from the other club, does that override the AFL's rule that he can't talk till the season is over?

Pretty sure we have spoken to at least one of them, wouldn't call it a formal interview though.

Apparently Roos is the only one we've spoken to.

Does your source give a time frame AF?

Nope. Unfortunately.

Is both an option?

That'd be nice. I don't anymore. Just that they are the only two being realistically considered.

Roos has been talking to Brisbane too. And given that the AFL is every bit as worried about the Lions as they are about the Dees, there is every chance Roos will head north to Brisbane (although West Coast presents a solid coaching environment). And, and since the AFL wants an experienced hand at Melbourne, Craig or Williams would be seen as good fits for the Dees.

"Set to be offered another 2 years" is not will be offered another 2 years. The Brisbane heavies can hardly come out mid-season and say Voss is in the gun, and they would be stupid not to inquire about Roos' availability.

As with any of this its too early in the play. A couple more acts to come yet.

Its a bit like a dime store detective novel. Lots of nothing wrapped in poorly stitched blindsides.

Craig utterings translated are possibly :" I'll only really put my hand up once I know theres a vacancy, otherwise I look a dill."

The wiser ones are playing it to the script, the idiots aka the lesser endowed ( intellect ) journo's are still falling for the crumbs.

This is about timing. It simply isnt right nor does it suit the majors players. Roos would only entertain it once the new board and FD have shape and credo. I dont think hes really swayed either way for a PP though like anyone youd say thankyou. He might be swayed by what sort of longer term help the AFL has in mind. If Roos came hed have to do it for 5. # is unlikley to see top line results and Im sure thats what hed want to be gauged by. If 5, then he ( nor anyone ) would be inclined if the hand up was only for a season as such.. "Here you go, mind your step....bye "

Eade and Williams would sign on a phonecall Id reckon. Craig is the fox. hes not silly

Far from being worse gig in town , coaching the Dees is starting to get some shine. PJ is steering this well imho

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
