Zone defence will cost Neeld his job.

Geez we're lucky they can't kick for goal.

Agree Stuie - dosen't look like it is working at all - need to be more accountable

Poor turnovers don't help though - need to be smart with the ball not just bomb long all the time - use the runners if available

Get a clue mate. Watch how much ground he's covering and how many times he's left the lone chaser, that's why you notice him.

Mate - it's easy to run around - it's hard to play footy - mate.

I ain't having a go at his effort, just his positioning and the fact he isn't a defender and can't read his opponent and stay with him to he ball. He always ends up a few feet behind.

Not. A. Defender!

love the way max competes at ground level and around the ground as well as in the ruck

Maxy is someone who inspires ... one of my new favourites

Why do we keep playing watts?

??????????

I just can't defend Watts anymore, just no effort at all.

Mckenzie just falls over every contest

Some people say that's just because he's desperate for the ball.

But you never see Gary Ablett diving full length... always keeps his feet. (I realise this is a ridiculous comparison.)

More often than not once Jordie gets it down there, his disposal is ineffective.

Stuie - really...

Watch the game properly mate. How many times have you seen Watts chasing compared to others? Now think about all the different parts of the ground he's been doing it. He's trying, and looks slow because he's knackered from all the chasing he's doing.

That is rubbish. Laziest footballer next to Sylvia. Refuses to run hard.

Wish they would put someone on Moloney, over 20 possessions in a half already.

Lets hope we make the Lions pay now, they don't look great, we need to make some better decisions going forward

Hold it up if you have to ffs - use sensible options, our boys seem to try create miricales sometimes

Watts is runnin like he's injured... Either that or is slow, we've all seen him run, he is faster than he showing

I thought exactly the same thing, he looked to be struggling

Agree he's not a defender.

He's being crucified by the zone though. I feel for the bloke, he's trying to chase hard but so many times it's being left up to him while no one else is even in camera shot.

Side note: while Watts has been woeful and nowhere near enough physical presence, seems to be a bit restricted in his running. Anyone aware of any injury concerns?

I certainly hope so, because if that is his best running ................... FFFFFAAAAARRRRRKKKKK

And, IF he is injured, treat it and don't play him until he has recovered.

We refuse to run.

We refuse to pick up our opponent.

WTF are they doing??

Its pathetic.

The Loins are pretty bad but we are worse. A good team would thrash them both by 20 goals.

How many times have you seen Watts chasing while there's NO OTHER MFC player in the camera shot? What does that tell you?!

Stuie - you're just wrong. It will be hard for you accept that - but it's a fact. You've got rose coloured glasses that are restricting your vision - all the people without those glasses are the one's watching the game "properly".

If he's injured, that might be why he's NOT chasing HARD

Hi Jack Watts - just saw you come into view - nice jogging action

he's a pain, it hurts to try hard & it hurts to run hard.

Deesperation Jack Watts, where is It?

Wattsy has got to go at year end. Nice bloke but as a business he's not got enough value for us and if we hold on any longer he'll lose his value to others. He's trade bait for a mid.

Biggest worry is that we have been running after them all day.

Brisbane have more than doubled our handballs and we are going to run ourselves dead by the end of the third.

I see him 'chasing' 5 metres behind his man every time

Not easy to run when you're buggered from being the only one chasing.

This is not Watts fault. It's the non-existent midfield pressure.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
