Scully is having an absolute stinker! Ablett slaughtered him early, and Scully has been woeful. The best part is that May has ran straight through him and flattened him twice. Beautiful

Cue people saying I'm 'bitter' etc etc. I don't care, this is lovely

Forget what people say, I'll be booing that lying traitor until the day he hangs up his boots.

The way he's playing, it's a shocking decision by GWS. Still, the AFL will find a loophole to ensure their own club's success.

Posted

The only thing that's funnier than the way he is playing is the fact that GWS actually thought he was worth the money haha

Posted

I never blamed him for going, after all, it is a job and he was offered a lot of money. He would have been crazy not to go. However it was the WAY he left that made me angry, and that rotten side of me is happy to see him not do well (up yours Sheedy!)

With six clangers so far, early in the final quarter, he goes to the top of the AFL totals for clangers so this season, after being second to teammate Toby Greene last round.

Plus, it's not as if those are from an especially high number of disposals. Hell, he has more clangers than contested possessions at the moment.

Suns pounding the Giants now in what will be a long stretch of junk time. Ablett doing right by his supercoach fans now. Also, no clangers from him all game. Not one. There is always a new way to be amazed by that player!

It's not really funny how scully carves us up for 3/4 then can't get near ablett. Shows where our midfield is at

The burden of lies is weighing him down.

No, it shows that Ablett is one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

Yes our midfield is rubbish but Ablett is gold covered in diamonds. He IS an A grade midfield all on his own.

PS- karma is a [censored] Scully you gutless [censored].

I burned out all the emotion I had on this kid ages ago, and any sense of malice or bitterness towards him went with it.

No malice or bitterness here either. The story is his consistently 'meh' performances as one of the AFL's top few highest-paid players, and perhaps his 'captaincy'.

Living in the middle of NSW I see a lot of GWS games on TV and he is clearly not worth the $ at present. Sadly the only decent game he has played was against us. Maybe we should cut out the booing next time and do ironical clapping instead.

Thought this thread might have been about where our recruiting staff were sitting during the match, but probably with all the other clubs.

On another note, how impressive has Charlie Dixon been this year! if we get pick 1 this year i think we should offer it to gold coast for him and dion prestia personally

I just enjoy having a laugh at his expence every so often...

Have been reading Kevin Sheedy's mind during the game : one recurring thought

" what else could we have done with that million ?"

Maybe he's thinking of a trade, the underground kid, for the high roller Buddy.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
