Training - Saturday, 30th March, 2013

I dis-agree, they will continue to keep their jobs.

I cannot see an end to this for a long long time sadly :(

Hell, we even have volunteers walking away ffs. I mean if something going on is pissing off volunteers then imagine how everyone else is feeling.

I'm walking away because I want to spend time with my family and I've given the club everything I've got, personally I'm not getting any free time, working away for 7 days then spending 6 days on break trying to get things happening. Unfortunately I've hit a brick wall and its the best time to get out for me. Someone else's turn now.

I looked at the thread title and wondered if there was training this morning, strangely enough.

Was there, or couldn't the guys be bothered turning up?

Self important? Interesting....

I don't believe you did anything for the club actually...

.

That's OK. You're allowed to be wrong about me.

What you think, if that's the right word, about me is not really important.

HG:

Why have you revealed you are Col Garland's brother? Whatever serious things you plan to reveal that you think will help the club overcome its problems, how does that help?.

Perhaps you will say that would have become clear to everyone anyway, but would it? Why make it easy for journos to make trouble for your brother? Could you not have published whatever you plan to without revealing that?

HG, why are you waiting till next week, this aint days of our lives.

Spill your guts, its not cool to say, Ive got a secret but I will tell you next week.

Thats [censored].

My father told me a long time ago "never act in anger you will make the wrong decision"

Give yourself a little time to consider what you can and cannot say.

Then when Calm make your case.

Believe me it works way better.

I find it interesting that Neeld is highly regarded by the Collingwood group and yet apparently cannot coach. I don't think it's Neeld

Malthouse also said we had a great list and would a good side in the future.

You call supporters who are vocal about our performance keyboard warriors. You suggest that a bloke being honest about his insights into what is going on at the club has low character for threatening to make those misgivings public.

I dont know the first thing about you mate, but ive paid my hard earned for many years for this club and all I hear lately from inside sources suggests that the club may have some level of internal disfunction that is hamstringing the player's performance. i wouldnt mind knowing about that if its true and I wouldnt mind it being rectified if it is true so that we can move on from it.

I think every paying member has a right to hear what might be going on at the club to explain the performance on sunday. Simple as that.

So basically i view anyone who suggests that supporters whinging as being a 'keyboard warrior' is a load.

I sure do and it seems that you don't get it but I would expect that, and as for a bloke being honest well, lets see him put his real name to the post and not some pseudonym if he is fair dinkum about what he has to say and stand by it.

I also pay my hard earned and in fact have two memberships so don't think your the only one.

HG if you are going tell all, go through it with a lawyer first before you hit the "post" button.

Once it is out it will go everywhere.

Couldn't he just create a phantom account to post it which has no links to him?

Hell, how do we know he already hasn't...

I'm walking away because I've given everything to the club I can give and I want to live some of my own life. As my part in the club I feel as if I can't give any more and am not achieving what I set out to do, it's hard to get support all the way from the NT.

I'm not walking away from the club, I have just finished working for them. It's someone else's turn now, fresh ideas will work wonders.

I worK fifo and on my time off I spend helping the club out and not spending time with my family. So I'm excited about the next stage in life.

In the end HG there is more to life than a football club and a not very good one at that.

AS wyl says please do not put yourself in a dangerous position they are not worth it.

Mate you don't need to explain yourself to people who havent lifted a finger for the club!. Thanks for helping out the club and best of luck for the future!. Stop by Demonland tho, it's always interesting to hear from someone within the club or was within the club!.

Was worried you were driven away by in-house antics.

I don't think we know whether or not he can coach, unfortunately for him we may never find out.

I believe that Schwab is a millstone around his neck, I also believe he (Neeld) has made some bad decisions but what first year coach doesn't. He was placed under some extraordinary pressure in his first year and most of it wasn't his making.

On the other side of the ledger, as for the Collingwood group, I once ran into a St Kilda player in a bar one Christmas and we got talking. He said he loved Stan Alves when he was an assistant with the Saints, great bloke but totally changed when he got the coaching gig...said he was an absolute.....couldn't stand him.

Thanks for all you've done and for the previous and present posts. I really appreciate the info.

Good luck to you and your family and all the best to Col, I reckon he goes alright but it's a pity we didn't get the one they left at home, sounds like he could play a bit.

Some of you are acting like its the end of the world, it's not.

All I intend to do is tidy up a few loose ends/truths, nothing that will put the club into disrepute or my brother. Do you seriously think that I would try to sink the ship after 26 years of membership and many hours of my time.

I also have some Dom Barry info from the NT here too which I thought I'd already put up.

There is nothing wrong with me having an opinion, you all do, as does Lyon, Schwarz & Healy.

Many in the media write autobiographies that would say a lot worse than I would.

HG:

Did you miss my post asking why you revealed you were Col Galand's brother? You've replied to posts since then, but not to my query.

I'm not having a go at you, genuinely asking and concerned about the consequences.

Edit to add: But less concerned given your last post.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
