Glad we went to Darwin so we can deal with the heat and conditions, obviously paying off... :(

Maybe they are a better side. No that couldn't be it.

It's all from rebounding though isn't it? We're getting smashed in the clearances.

Actually, no. Clearances are quite close at this point. Jamar's dominance has to be a part of that. Wonder if the Jamar and McKenzie threads will get a run this week.

Just saying that because we had talked up about how we would cope with the heat last week due to the Darwin trip.

Seemed a bit far fetched to me to be saying that after spending a week there.

Any stats? Last I saw we were easily winning the hitouts but getting killed in clearances.

That's how Sydney beat Hawthorn.

So it can work, not saying that is our main goal but its good to have a good half back that wins the ball back

Yeah, not saying that's all bad, but I desperately want us to be better at the clearances this year.

Final siren: St Kilda 2.10.13 (91) d Melb 2.7.6 (66)

25 to 15 scoring shots is a big worry, especially seeing we seemed to be doing well for inside 50s. Hopefully Dawes and Clark can help that, cos Sellar isn't reliable and Pedo seems like an absolute spud from what I've seen SO FAR.

It's NAB Cup. Doesn't bother me if we win or not, tho wins are nice. Ask last years Grand Finalists about their NAB wins... What I want to see is improvements in our key lacking areas from last year, as that is what will lead us to wins when the real stuff starts.

We lack in every key area.

Give us some midfielders god Please.

back to tackling school I reckon...Seems many have forgotten already !!!

25 point win to Saints...no disgrace in that as they were coming home with a strong breeze and could have been expected to blow us away.

Me too, but we lost Maloney and Viney isn't playing, I don't know enough about the mature aged guys and if they a decent at clearances, Magner playing?

Going by the stats we matched fairly evenly with the saints.

you mean the exact same breeze we had for the 1st and 3rd quarters?

Not the point...we didn't let them run away with it in the last, when in seasons gone by we would have capitulated and lost by a LOT more.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
