Who cares if you drive through Adelaide drunk?

What are you going to hit ,seriously?

A Church.

A tree.

A roo.

Get him and Dale back here and lets party .

A bogan with bad hair?

But the scary thing is, he still would have been with us if he didn't do a runner.

Not so sure on this, I think he may have given Neeld a let out... but it's one we will never really know.

Was one of my all time favourites jurrah but as much as I don't wanna be a full on racist the lack off indigenous players drafted this year showed why and I think his comments were actually spot on.. Dayle Garlett is a perfect example and I think clubs are just really not interested anymore in looking out for players like jurrah, zeph skinner etc that come out from the outback knowing in 3 years later they will just walk out on the club.

It really is a sad affair with Jurrah as this bloke could have been just as good as Michael O'Loughlin . Jurrah has natural freakiness about him that could pull people through the gates. I really do miss jurrah in the red and blue but he is one of many Aboriginal footballers that just aren't worth the risk anymore.

Just want to state my opinion here. Matt Rendell was not making racist comments, was taken out of context and is not a racist imho.

I agree Jurrah was an exciting player and I get the Skinner comparison (less so the Garlett one).

Can you say there is an established trend here? i.e. in your opinon, are urban indigenous players more likely to succeed in the rigours of the system that say those from remote communities?

I'm thinking Caroline Wilson.

As for LJ I couldn't give a crap. He had my full support and sympathy until the moment he walked out on the club. Now he can go to Hell and I hope he hates every moment of it.

Nice to see people putting sport ahead of compassion.

Hard to have compassion for drink drivers mate, glad he did not kill some innocent while being a selfish idiot.

I agree on that count, but when people start saying they don't care because he walked out on the club, that irks me. LJ obviously has some major issues and I would say the pressure is becoming too much for him...a very sad state of affairs.

so is anyone going to say that he comes from a different culture where drink-driving is looked at differently and therefore he should be given a break for this?

all the other stuff he did was quickly excused for the colour of his skin, why not this?

As far as I can recall, you seem to be the only one who has broached the subject of skin colour.

I think everyone can see what a sad tragedy this is becoming

It certainly does you no credit to grandstand over it

I reckon you'd have to be drunk to be caught driving in Adelaide.

He was lucky he didnt collide with another car and kill a family or an innocent driver.

Has his partner had there child yet?

But its a shame where his life is at. He was the reason I loved going to the footy because I always looked foward to soem Jurrah excitement.

I think Rendell was the messenger who got shot for political gain. It's a pity because the issue he broached deserved a lot more thought , maybe in the end it was just all too hard for misfud. It was just easier to treat it as a political football and him a casualty which is not an unusual response unfortunately.

Yeah well I've got better things to do than worry about the world's problems. Sport interests me. Caring about people I've never spoken to not so much. I also have a list of things I don't have much compassion for:

1) Drink drivers

2) People that use weapons to commit violence

3) People that [censored] on my club after all it has done for them

Number 3 probably should be at the top of the list though.

actually I am the only one who has judged him as a person, an individual whom like everyone else is responsible for his own actions, instead of using his background as a get out of jail free card like so many 'enlightened' folks around here have

Oh he has a get out of jail free card? Must be why so few from his background aren't in prison then.... Dumb post.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
