Yep, it's good option in these times of 'last straw' declarations, many of which have been made on this forum recently. Best not to think about renewal, just assume that it's going to happen.

A soft, uninspiring slogan.

i disagree, i prefer it to "generation D" and other recent ones.

It also goes hand in hand with the incentives that they're putting up for peple who renew 'first' and people who roll over their memberships on the dedicated demons plan ' forever'.

I thought it was a good slogan and the Imagery on the site looks great.

No pleasing some people.

I agree, considering the season we have just had I think the club is pulling on the right strings here!! It affected me and I was like hell yeah I am signing up lol!!

I think that we don't make enough of the history of our club, so I'm all for this campaign. We are the oldest club and we are determined to not only stick around, but to grow and flourish.

A few have asked for some past players/coaches to be included on the banner. It would fit with this campaign as a theme for 2013.

Relying on mention of past glory to promote next year - fail in my opinion.

Is the fear of further failure keeping marketing low-key?

Edit: Of course I will re-sign next pay cycle. Nothing changes that.

I think we've come off about 4 consecutive years of playing up the "future" in our membership campaigns only to be shot in the foot so this sits OK with me.

And, yeh, I'll be re-signing too. It's amazing the hold footy can have on a person. Anything else which gave me so little joy over a 5 year period would have been banished from my life.

Personally, something along the lines of "Total Buy-In" would be relevant. You could have the players that have had "total buy-in" since Neeld's arrival, and now it's time for all Melbourne supporters to have "Total Buy-In" and get on board.

Something along those lines - I'm not a marketing expert, so perhaps someone that is could come up with a term that is more appealing to what I've written but means the same thing.

Last year I wanted "No More Excuses". Was shot down because it was Neeld's first year, so was happy to put it on hold for 12 months. I'm pretty sure if I made the suggestion of "No More Excuses" again, we'd come up with 101 reasons why we shouldn't have that this year, including the fact that we lost Jurrah, that we are the 3rd youngest team in terms of experience, that we're goin gin to the season with too many injuries, etc, etc, etc.

That's funny. Just wrote on the Neeld Lyon thread that our membership tagline should be:

BUY IN!

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
