Just mentioned on SEN, with more to follow, that Jurrah has quit the club. If this is the case a sad day for the club. All the best Liam, thanks for the great couple of years!

I believe he wants to play in Adelaide or not at all.

He wants to continue playing footy in Adelaide.

The season's over but the torture continues unabated.

Good luck to Liam all the same.

At least request a trade then so we can get something for him.....

The club should be cutting all ties now and not help him out with his legal battles anymore.

Just when you think you've been kicked enough times, something else comes along.

This is just about the biggest kick in the guts I could ever imagine.

Never thought I could feel so low about footy and this club, but there is just no hope left, no light at the end of the tunnel, just nothing.

We pluck this guy out from nowhere, we support him, we set him up, and he gets into trouble and spits in our faces.

I can't judge him, I simply can't, but FFS this just kills.

Football just cannot get more painful.

Why would either Adel or Port give up a draft pick for him when he might end up in jail.

He'll walk to the draft where no other club will touch him and ether Adel or port will take him with a late pick or even in the rookie draft.

Melb will end up with nothing!!!

So disappointing.

This year. So over it.

Yeah that would be the decent thing to do wouldn't it?

Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!

This all started with a broken wrist. If he hadn't broken his wrist he wouldn't have had the time off to be in alice springs and he wouldn't have been caught up in the situation. plus he probably would have played more than a game for us this season.

urgh

Am I the only one who feels a sense of relief along with the disappointment?

You must be, because all I feel is dread that he'll tear it apart at Adelaide or Port next year, while we continue to rot at the bottom of the ladder with our mostly talentless list, and our lack of forwards.

Friggin horray!

Edit: if he was walking away from footy, I'd say "fair enough". It's been a tough road for him, and he's in for a whole lot more pain. But to walk away from our club, after everything we have done for him, is just too hard to swallow.

Liam's priorities in life are different to those of most of the players at the club. Not right or wrong, just different and I respect him for this. A brilliant talent, who will be missed.

I wish him all the best. I wonder what impact Jim's departure has really had on the club.

This has been staring us in the face for months.

I am not in the least surprised.

Move on he is gone.

get the best we can out of it if anything.

I'm not disappointed by it. Disappointment comes with expectation and I certainly did not expect Jurrah to play for us again.

Although, if I ever see him in Adelaide hoops or Port's black I will be heart-broken.

No Nasher I feel the same.

In spite of him saying he wants to play in Adelaude.

IMO there are clearly more important things than playing AFL for LJ

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
