Better trade off Clark, Jones, and Howe quick sticks!!

They've all had good years, so we can't risk them being out of form next year.

They're all "one trick ponies"... Clark ONLY kicks goals, Jones ONLY wins the ball, and Howe ONLY takes marks.

They're all "flat track bullies"... I bet their stats were better when we won than when we lost...

Oh and whoever wins the BnF should be delisted immediately cos we all know they'll suffer the curse and be out or form next year.

We're much better off having no one over 20 on our list and winning the draft picks premiership every year.

Go Dees! Top 4 on the draft ladder AGAIN! Woo!

The most stupid post I have read this year, congrats!

My bad im at work so im speed reading and alt+tabbing constantly

Nah all good, didn't mean it to sound snippy if it did.

It certainly has looked he's been playing with a broken heart.

Beautifully put although it's the same for all AFL players at this time.

(I know what you meant, but your use of "2013" and "non existent" in the same sentence was just too good to ignore.)

On topic, if he wants to leave he should do so; if he wants to stay, I'd keep him only if he has bought into the Neeld plan.

oops i meant 2012. Thanks!!

Stuie. Stuie...you go down fighting don't you. I will acknowledge that.

But can you not see that Beamer has already gone. He doesn't want to be here.

Players play some bad games, yes, but not an entire season.

I will not accept that as valid. He was dropped for the GW$ game-Damming.

Neeld gave him ample time to own his patch.

Beamer declined the offer.

The problem with Beamer is that he isn't a good runner. That's a problem, especially for a midfielder, but not one that was as big when you were allowed to freewheel into space a bit more like he could last year.

Now that Neeld's plan requires him to run much harder in a game (with all the defensive running required) his poor running ability is being exposed and he has become less effective.

He plays a really good 2002 game style, but nobody plays that way in 2012.

didnt i read somewhere that Moloney has only been at the dees 6 years? Which would not make him a RFA as it needs to be 8? I know I am wrong here somewhere but not sure where...

Joined in 2005 so this is his 8th season

i dont understand why Neeld doesnt try him in another position? I haven't watched many melbourne games this year because in adelaide they only show them on days port or crows arent playing. If he's only put him in the mid why not try up forward? Maybe even down back but he'd probly be too slow for a defender. We'll be missing Green next year so i think its a good opportunity to put up a 1 year contract and play him forward.

In fact, Neeld moved him from on ball to HFF. Was successful in that role in the Essendon victory, but appeared to struggle more and more with the role as time went by.

I suspect Beamer is a victim of a gameplan that requires hard running both ways which he doesn't appear physically to be suited to.

I reckon you are on the money mate Does not have the running ability.

I doubt he has bad attitude as many suggest

He just cannot play the required style of game

Club policy of re-sign, or be traded should be put in place at the end of their 7th year.

We don't need the bullsh$t other clubs are going through ie Cloke, in their final year. Imagine Cloke was put on the trade table end of last year, Collingwood would be preparing to use their round 1 draft picks

ah well thanks for clarifying that. Kinda sucks i always like the bloke even now but i still think he should get 1 more year. Not everyone can improve in a year sometimes takes 2 even 3 but i would only ask for one more year with him but i doubt he'd sign a year contract.

Are you a politician because that is what they DON'T do as well.

They DON'T research.

They DON'T think.

They just guess at some thing logical to say which is usually wrong.

He was actually told at the beginning of the year to lose weight. The FD intention was to be able to run, run, run and they believed that some of the players were too bulky to be able to achieve the distances that were required.

So you are suggesting that he has failed to follow the instructions of the FD - in which case he should move on to a FD that doesn't care about that sort of thing, like MFC pre-2012.

ND If I was Moloney I would be after more than 1 year.

Offering one year is the same as saying [censored] off we don't need you.

It is a two year offer or let him go

Can we get this right......Some say we need runners to improve our spread.....others say we need bigger bodies to get the ball in a pack...Beamer to big in the body....Moton....Watts....Cook....too skinny....Geezzz....I'm confused....

Yes, yes and yes.

All the aforementioned have different problems requiring different solutions that each need to attend to forthwith, or depart. Some are doing it, some aren't.

He's been very ordinary this year, is 95% gone, maybe I should have used sarcastica as my font...

All that said, the lynching of him has been pretty disgraceful, even by Demonland's standard

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
